I don't have to read the whole article to know who wins!!
L920 is all about innovation, 8X is just about WP8.
L920 hands down!!!

I never said that I like HTC, so you should go check your eyes. The super sensitive touch screen is not new, my SGS 1 can also be operated by gloves or a spoon, I have tested it works. The camera on lumia 920 is taking very good videos but the pictures, when they reviewed lumia 920 vs iphone 5, iphone 5 took better pictures they were sharper. I never said that i like HTC 8X, it has way too much unused bezel and it takes worse pictures than lumia 920. Now can you tell me why lumia 920 is so innovative?

So you admit the 920 take good videos right??? Well, that's because there's an innovation behind it, namely the OIS...and there's the 'rich' sound recording. Learn to appreciate something new...
By the way, i never said you were an HTC 'FAN' (that was missing)...you have to know the know the usefulness of the word 'or' and the '?' question mark!
And stop bringing the Applet here...it has no business on this particular space.

I was just comparing, you can not just say that something is best withou compere it to something else. I am sorry I was unclear when I said that lumia 920 took good videos, I meant the audio, that is great, otherwise the video alone is almost the same as SGS3 or Iphone 5 , just with more vivid colors. I am not a fan of no-one. I am appreciating new stuff, if I wasn´t then I would not appreciate jelly bean on my SGS1. What is wrong with you, I am just saying that lumia 920 is not the greatest and the most innovative mobile. That is my opinion, you fanboys are really cruel, someone will say his/her opinion and you bash him/her for it.

Because you talk like you know what you're talking about but you actually don't. The video is the same as GSIII and iP5 you say?
Again, where have you been this year? Go back to how the 920's video recording with the OIS technology reduced shakes and made the video much smoother than iP5 and GSIII. You know nothing! Don't kid yourself!
And yet again, i never said the 920 is the mobile phone with the best innovation...i just said "It's all about innovation" compared to HTC's 8X which has nothing to offer except for the raw OS.
Still don't get me? Then not my fault...

OIS is great on lumia but the video quality is not best. Otherwise I can not see another innovatition on lumia. And WP 8 ruins this mobile IMO, android is much better IMO, for example : did you see Note II:s USB on the go, you can almost use it as a computer. I think that WP 8 is a waste of time. Android is more organized

And now you're jumping to Android...
Forget it man...

Oh no, I understand. Lumia´s OIS is a great thing that I have not seen in other devices, but this is the only real innovation about this phone.

No one seems to have fully explained to Pedro0x why the Lumia 920 is so innovative, well here we go:

1. The screen: PuremotionHD+ seems to be an umbrella term for a few technologies. The main one is the fact that the pixel refresh rate is the fastest and so the transition of anything on the screen is much better. It is the first device to be able to fully show 60fps without motion blur. It is 5.4x as fast as the IPhone 5 and 2.4x as fast as the Galaxy S3. Next is the fact that it uses Synaptic technology which means you can use it consistently, and perfectly accurately, with gloves on or with keys etc. Also, it has a higher PPI than the IPhone 5 with 332 compared to 326 and even despite the fact the screen is 4.5 inches compared to 4 inches big. On top of all this it has leading visibility outdoors with new optimisations and the usual Nokia CBD technology with a polarising light filter. It uses curved Gorilla Glass 2 to top it all off.
2. The camera: Pureview is in its second stage and it brings an 8.7 megapixel BSI Carl Zeiss snapper to the table. It has the famed OIS where the whole camera module is floated, which means photos are blur free and it has the best low light imaging capabilities. It also serves up by far and away the most stable video. (I saw your point about some reviewers highlighting an issue with fuzziness or softness in full daylight and it seems to be only an issue for preproduction review units or early adopters, but nevertheless Nokia is beginning to update all concerned with a software fix bundled into the Microsoft update). Along with the wide angle lens, and the new short pulse high power dual LED flash, and all the Nokia camera extras such as group shot and cinemagraph, it is considered to be the best camera on any phone bar the 808 Pureview, but in some ways it does even trump that.
3. Audio and sound recording: the Lumia 920 has Nokia’s Rich Recording technology and it includes innovative HAAC microphones which can record sounds up to 140dB and higher sound pressure levels without distortion. HAAC also provides full audio bandwidth capabilities to match human hearing. Normal microphones typically used in high end smartphones can record up to 120dB but with heavy distortion even at that level. Also, the Lumia 920 has Dolby software and Dolby Headphone for added quality with audio overall. Nearly forgot! As a general feature Nokia added a personal sound equaliser to Nokia Windows Phone 8 devices.
4. LTE: This is not just any 4G. It is the first phone to the market with pentaband 4G.
5. Wireless charging: coming out before the Nexus 4, it is one of the first phones to adopt QI wireless charging and it is a cool and handy feature worth mentioning.
6. NFC and Bluetooth 4: yes, lots of phones now have both, but that does not make them any less a pair of standout out features, especially when compared to the HTC 8X’s 3.1 and the IPhone 5’s lack of NFC. COUGH.
7. Materials...

CONTINUED!

7. Materials: despite Nokia using polycarbonate in around 3 phones before the Lumia 920, it is still innovative. Here’s why: the material is sturdy and robust (good old Nokia style), it is signal transparent (why would you put metal covering over a transmitter, it is only going to help distort or diminish it), the colour is inherent to it (meaning it is coloured all the way through and scratches will not show, oh and btw you can’t say the same for the HTC’s material), and Nokia have made a distinct, iconic, unibody design out of it, with a new ergonomic shape. The Lumia 920 is also the first phone to have zirconium used in it. This is a strong, scratch proof, cool looking transition metal which Nokia have made use of in the side keys and camera detailing.
8. Nokia apps: my main example is City Lens which is an innovative augmented reality app but there are countless others, such as Nokia’s true map offering and other imaging additions.

Whilst I am at it the Lumia 920 compares favourably to the HTC 8x on basically every single account. So far I have not mentioned the Lumia 920 has more memory and a bigger battery than it. The Lumia 920 also has GLONASS which works with GPS to make pin pointing your location more accurate and faster. It can also step in when GPS is out of range or weaker.

Overall, it is definitely one of the most innovative phones, if not the most innovative phone of 2012. Then, you can take into account Nokia made it cheaper than the IPhone 5 16gb model and even the HTC 8X, so it is really a no brainer.

It is a shame Phone Arena will not let me post links to go along with the comments but oh well.

Can you tell me reasons why 8x is better than 920? Don't say weight coz that is nonsense . You have the review to read. WE don't need to answer your question

not exactly innovative but if u see
they made screen with resistive + capacitive , they called it super sensitive bcoz u can handle with ur gloves on. n they r many disadvantages like unnessary touch inputs as its responsive to any shi*
n so called camara lesser than what we seen in n8 though with better image stabilisation like iphone. with too much show off. an iphone camara is almost same with all appecture but in lumia there is too much showoff

Haven't had any accidental touch inputs yet. Amused that you would even call the image stabilization on the iPhone comparable. There is a drastic difference between the two. Check out the iPhone/Lumia 920 showdown.

educate urself bro. its kinda pro resistive touch. they called it super sensitive. if not wat else would it be ?? dont say super sensitive pls. this sensitive based on force not on sensitivity try loose cotton with dia 0.3cm with a very minute force or just place on it . i bet it doesnt work that way . sry for saying truth though !

im sorry to say this, but this is bulls**t! im dissapointed by your comment. i bet you never touched or used a real nokia 920.

they use the technology of Synaptics on 920

It is purely glass screen. And NO accidental inputs will happen. Turn of sensitive touch mode if you just want your finger tips then..
