Nokia Lumia 822 Review

0. phoneArena posted on 22 Nov 2012, 04:54

The Lumia 822 is pretty much the same device as the Lumia 820, but repackaged for Verizon, as it retains the 4.3” WVGA ClearBlack AMOLED display, 8MP camera, and general appearance. Still, the Lumia 822 offers all the new features of a Windows Phone 8 device, and has Verizon’s 4G LTE on-board, which makes it quite attractive at this price...

So you weren't impressed with this and that and the other but you gave it an 8 out of 10. Doesn't that mean that overall the phone is solid and a good choice. No it isn't IOS and it isn't Android. Thank God it's WP8. By the way, the 822 has 16 GB of internal memory plus the Micro SD card slot.

Some people say this smart phone is ugly I think it looks better than the 820 and if it's side where more tapered it would make the HTC 8X look bad. Nokia should have put high definition 4.3 inch screen on this smart phone like the HTC 8x has. this would have given Verizon a Nokia smart phone just as powerful as the AT & T Lumia 920
except it would have a smaller screen and lack the Pure VUE camera. In fact Nokia needs to make and offer a 4 or 4.3 high def screen 820 or 822 sized smart phone because a lot of People especially women do not want an smart phone as big as a Nokia 920

8x is HTC's WP8 flagship device, this is built to compete with the likes of 8S and all

This has 4.3 inch display but is much larger than droid razr i which also has 4.3 ich display, what the hell is wrong with the designers, everyone says that smartphones have too big displays, but that is wrong, it is the thick bezel which makes the smartphones larger.

11. iDroid8 posted on 24 Nov 2012, 05:50

razr m/razr i have bezel-less designs which involves high costs of manufacturing
the nokia is supposed to be a mid-ranger, and it definitely knows its place
also, do note that it is still smaller in dimensions than the 8X despite offering similar sized screen and more screen estate at that

can I ask what is the difference between the 822 and 920?

9. iDroid8 posted on 24 Nov 2012, 05:45

Bigger screen of higher resolution, better camera, slimmer body, LCD vs AMOLED, higher res. of front camera

They just have to find something negative. This phone has one of the best cameras! PA is just getting to picky. I think it takes better photos then iphone 4s. But we all have our own opinions right.
