Nokia Lumia 610 Review

0. phoneArena posted on 06 Jun 2012, 05:41

Here came MWC 2012 and the Nokia Lumia 610 was unveiled – an inexpensive representative of the Windows Phone breed. The modest internals are the cause for the device's price advantage. The processor inside it is a 800MHz single-core accompanied by the measly 256MB or RAM. Nevertheless, the lightweight Windows Phone 7.5 Refresh should run just fine despite the modest hardware, or so does the maker claim...

At the right price the Lumia 610 can be serious competition to the Galaxy Y.

Thanks for this, but a little too late. I refused the offer already. Lol. I'll wait till Windows Phone 8.

So, when the budget Lumia 710 is £99.90, unlocked, instore at Carphone Warehouse or online, with free Monster iems, free £20 Marketplace Apps and a free 6 month Zune pass, will this 610 sell for £60 unlocked?

Or perhaps less?

Better go to lumia 710 if you insist buying budget windows phone. At least you would find better performance. For me I won't buy any windows phone anytime soon until nokia free up zune restriction. I think windows phone may would popular in USA but not in Asian countries. People in Asia prefer easy USB transfer and bluetooth file transfer. That's why symbian very popular in Asia.
IMO Nokia should keep their symbian market in Asia and middle east and focussing their windows phone in USA.

Perhaps this phone should have never been released. The galaxy w and lumia 710 cost $50 more ,and give you a better experience.
Please spend the $50 more!
you will not regret it!

Hmm Nokia I think wont sell many of these smart phones I am stunned microsoft would lower the specs for WP& smart phones to allow one this weak to be sold because it could make People who buy it think that WP7 smart phones Stink when for a few dollars more they will get a better Windows smart phone experience a Nokia 710 with an added front facing camera and Windows 8 would be great to have it would not cost that much more than the current 710 and would give folks a great experience maybe Nokia will make one.

@hunted: no. Currently WP is lacking OPP, FTP and BIP Profiles which enables to send files via bluetooth. But rumours are that by the end of year it might come...

Phone is incredibly slow and lacks basic features such as Voice Recording (even the most basic phones have this), it does not support USSD, the camera quality is appallling Had to download my own bluetooth application. Dont particularly want to go through all my FB contacts to find a number, unable to find where to change from Bing to Google (Very Annoying). Whats App takes ages to respond.

This phone is more suited for your younger target market due to its facebook and windows live features.

My advice - Wait for Windows 8 or do not buy the phone.

Coming from the Nokia N8 which was a great phone!
