Motorola KRZR K1 Review

The KRZR K1 is image-maker: it successfully inherits the RAZR family sporting design and style that put it out of the crowd of boring phones you are used to - it's narrow, blue, shiny and fashionable piece of art. Sadly it has very weak signal reception, but the voice quality during a call reminds you that the used phone is of high class. The KRZR packs average features in perfectly looking solid construction, but we'd like better implementation of the features like higher resolution of the screen (QVGA is not science fiction anymore) and auto-focus for the camera

Just wanted to chime in and differ with the reviewer's comments on reception. He must have had a bad unit, because I've been using my k1 here in the States for about four months on a very poorly-built-out network (T-Mobile), and its reception is quite excellent. I frequently have service with my KRZR when my other device, also T-Mobile, does not.

The reviewer must have had a defective phone. I bought the KRZR K1 from Cingular to replace my unlocked RAZR and the reception is great. My house is in a bit of a deadspot and I consistently get 3-5 bars and clear call quality with the KRZR, with no more "call failed" messages. This is a great phone first and foremost. All of the other features are a bonus.

I cannot imagine why the original reviewer had issues with the RF signal capture. Maybe the reviewer was on AMR half rate? This is the best phone for RF signal capture that I've ever had!

Hello, We've tested the KRZR K1 in Europe GSM network, which is 900/1800 and the performance is based on this test.
