LG Optimus 4X HD vs HTC One X
On paper, the LG Optimus 4X HD should last longer than the HTC One X on a single charge. That is because it has a larger, 2,150mAh battery versus the 1,800mAh cell on the latter. But in real life, it all depends on how the smartphones are being used – how bright their displays shine, and how far you are pushing that power-hungry processor of theirs. From our experience we can conclude that both devices should last for a reasonable amount of time before they need a recharge.
So there you have it, guys. The LG Optimus 4X HD and the HTC One X are two well-made devices – with performance so similar that we cannot really pick a clear winner between the two. No matter which one you choose, chances are that you will be impressed by the overall experience. Perhaps pricing will be the key factor when choosing between one of the two, but that variable depends on where in the world you live, so we won't take it into account in our conclusion.

I'm tired of all these cliffhangers phonearena. It feels like I'm watching "Twilight: New Droid". Still great review. For me it would ultimately come down to design. I like the cleaner look of the LG Optimus 4X better but I like the more solid build quality of the One X. Well still, I couldn't deside lol.

why would anyone thumb that down
i agree with birds
even apple fanboys hate cliffhangers because then they don't get to see their precious apple iphone win...

I think, yes, you should always pick a winner considering all the factors at once.
other smackdowns, They have some sort of winner, but they do not discredit the loser, instead they recommend it for some other market.

Anyway, One X for me --- though Sense, they say, still lacks,

i like sense better than lg's interface
it just looks awkward some stock stuff, then some non stock stuff. They just don't match
atleast everything in the one x is consistent

i find the conclusion unexciting, bland and boring he did not even make any recomendations or he did not even tried to emphasize the advantage or disadvantage of the two device or even the edge of one to another other... of course there's gotta be a winner in them.. for me its lg optimus 4x but not in the huge margin because i think it feels more compact in hand though i have to say that camera is a bit flaw for its autofocus problem. but it seems that lg was able to maximized its quadcore compared to htc one x but at least when it comes to built htc got the crown

I'd pick the 4X, the screen is just so awesome.

I own both and in some respects they are close but afraid for all round user experience, it is the One X all the way. LG falls down when it comes to the little details such as no Notification light at all, no way of telling when battery fully charged except if the phone is being charged whilst it is on! Delicate bottom strip prone to popping loose when removing charger!

wait i thought that the lock screen of the 4x HD can also place shortcuts??? it was said in the review wasnt it.. i even read that on engadget..
14. anGel_pLayer (Posts: 54; Member since: 29 Jun 2012)
Yes the 4x can have app shortcuts on the lockscreen.. PA probably doesn't know how... :)
Also one thing, why do they mention about one x being a better audio player with " SoundHound integration" and all but they didn't mention the MediaPlex of 4x being a better video player? Favor much?
17. u-suck-more (Posts: 529; Member since: 26 Aug 2011)
exactly! that's what i thought too! cos i rmb reading it on the review ON PHONEARENA
yes the video player on the 4x is soo much better! esp with all its features (like pinch to zoom and the other thing idk what's it is called lol)

they all copying from htc. look at the 3d effect look at optimus and look at s3. s3 only does it the other way around. HTC ONE X IS BEST. Stop copying

Sorry to me LG has always been the cheaper not so great cousin to Samsung i feel that the other companies just put a little more into their devices where the LG just does what it needs to to get by all in all i would choose the HTC One X. In terms of top phones this is how it seems to go:
1. Samsung or HTC (this is more based on preference)
That's what i've seen at least from the history of smartphones LG is always just lagging behind a little in it's quality of their product versuses everyone else.

I think that htc One X now is king of Android.
In Latvia you can buy SGS3 for 525 LVL (949$), what is not cheap, and htc One X for 350 LVL (633$), what is much cheaper.
Htc has excellent build quality and, of course, htc Sense.

i have the one x and it has the crappiest, weakest tinny sounding loud speaker ever. I tried three different set of phones and different downloaded quality types of music and all of them suck and are weak. beat does absolutely nothing, NOTHING to the quality of sound on this thing. It is merely a gimmick and that is all. Also, the phone quality, ear piece volume is horrible! very weak and hard to hear. The phone looks bad ass but is very awkward to hold and you will definately need a case or this thing will easily slide out of your hand. anyways, wish i could trade it in but i think this is the best droid phone out at the moment. i say that b/c there are very positive things about the phone as well, screen style big time and it is very light weight, battery is also pretty good. sense rocks!
