LG Lucid Review
0. phoneArena posted on 04 Apr 2012, 09:35
Just a little bit over a couple of months ago, LG finally matched its competitors over on Verizon’s lineup by bringing to market the Spectrum – a device that brought some exciting features at $200 on-contract. For those on a tight budget and prefer something more form fitting in the hand, the LG Lucid seems to be all the things you find yourself dreaming about during those sleepy nights...

Why such a hater????? This is the kind of phone a lot of consumers have been waitning for. The specs and capabilities of the Lucid are amazing for the price. It has a 1.2g processor that rivals the nexus and its affordable, on top of letting you expand your memory up to 32gs.
I hope that if someone puts a gun to your head they dont give you the option and they just put it there and end you there.

dude..why someone will but a gun to your head to make you buy something you don't want to buy,,and if a similar situation happened some day i think you will buy it.

Been waiting to here more about this phone since PA's first report on it. However at the end of the day, The LG disappoints:
"we find ourselves struggling to listen to our callers because there is a distinctive amount of muffling heard"
Unless this was a faulty handset, the above reason alone is a dealbreaker for me.

I got this for my mother the other day and she absolutely loves it--even runs part of her business of it so I don't know what the muffling they review talked about is. I mean, it's mainly a phone-based business (transportation) and she's had no complaints at all. I don't know if we got lucky and they got unlucky, but... hey.

Most people aren't fans of LG (myself included) but I have to give them credit for making an affordable phone with good specs

Is this more of a female phone because of the purple?

After using mltiple devices, this is a pretty high quality cost effective 4G option. The addaptive lighting for visability in direct sunlight is amazing. It's very quick, responsive, and it seems to be a great multi-tasking device. Battery life is over a full day, sound is pretty clear and loud. Connection is spot on so I assume the above post about the fuzziness had to do with a dud device.
Overall: 8/10.
Only thing I could want more of is less bezel on the edges. LG is coming out with some really cool technology that just works right.

The 2 most-used features of a phone, statistically speaking, are voice calls and picture/video taking. If the call quality is junk and the videos are junk, well, that's going to frustrate alot of people.

^ That's not really a review. It's speculation based on one person's bad experience. There are multiple thing that could have affected the call quality in his particular area. Like I said, after using quite of few of these devices, I'm more or less impressed by LG's progress in the smartphone market.
Still a solid 8/10.

I really like my LG Lucid except for one problem. I frequently have problems with internet connection. I get messages that say "can't connect to the internet right now" or "Oops! You've hit a pothole. Try again later". Has anyone else had this problem?
