And me2, enjoying mine, it's Rooted with JB4.2.1 with Syia Kernels Cpu iverclocked to 1.9 Ghz same as S4. GPU clocked at 700Mhz.
Along with VmHeaptools, and McTweaker, Entropy, BusyBox, along with RamExpander now giving 4GB RAM for hardcore multitasking.
This Z now feels much smoother and faster®
Enjoy the Z Rooted™

Sony fanboys have been really bitter lately.
Sony is repeating the same mistake they did with the XS. Subpar 2012 specs/features on a 2013 flagship.

screen wise, htc one is better
processor wise, who would actually notice the difference?
and speaker quality, sony sacrifices that for water/dust resistance

Processor wise you can undestand the difference in gaming for sure and it makes the device more future proof..Plus since these devices cost about the same why buy Xperia Z?

"processor wise, who would actually notice the difference?"

That's what people used to say about quadcores cpu.
Believe me, you will! Games load faster, better graphical performances, no/less drop in framerate when running games like Dead Trigger, Real Racing, Shadowgun..

I think Xperia Z has the slight edge, but don't get me wrong, both are much better than the Galaxy S4.

-Design is subjective
-pretty much
-well
-this is weird, the water resistance feature does affect the call quality, so either you haven't used a htc one, or just trolling
-no comment

"Pixel density isn't everything
The Xperia Z is more attractive with its screen turned off rather than on"

"More pixels than sense
This is not the cameraphone you're looking for"

"Just because you call it HDR video doesn't mean it is HDR video"

"Fighting a soft war
Sony's sullying one of its most beloved brands with the atrocity that is PlayStation Mobile"

http://www.theverge.com/2013/3/11/4084004/sony-xperia-z-review

"However, the screen is by no means perfect. First of all its viewing angles aren't really great. They are a step forward compared to the Xperia T, but a very minor one. In that area Sony still has a lot of work before it catches up with the competition.

More disturbingly, the display has rather poor contrast for a flagship unit and not really inspiring colors. As testified by the measurements in our dedicated test it comes nowhere near the standard of its main competitors and it even fared worse than its predecessor."

"The results are pretty good overall, although we wouldn't say it has a significant advantage over the best 8MP shooters from last year."

"What came as a disappointment for us is the fact that even though the Xperia Z is able to capture still shots while recording video, it only produces images with 1 megapixel of resolution. That's less than half the resolution of the individual frames in the video itself and not really good for much. Given that last year's flagships could capture full res stills during video recording, what the Xperia Z offers is inexcusably poor."

"Enabling HDR doesn't do as big a difference as we hoped it will, but it still adds some detail in the highlight areas, which can make the difference between a usable and a poor video on some occassions."

"The Sony Xperia Z enters the arena of our video quality comparisons. The 1080p video recording of the smartphone isn't quite the best we have seen, but it fares pretty well. It easily matched the Optimus G and the Galaxy S III."

http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_z-review-887.php

"Sony is calling its new, thinner display the OptiContrast panel, but its performance doesn't offer the same viewing angles, or outdoor performance, of HTC's Super LCD 3 screen. In fact, turn the screen away from straight-on viewing, and you'll see a grayish discoloring that starts to obscure what's going on -- especially under bright light."

"The Xperia Z arrives just behind the latest Android iteration. It's still Android Jelly Bean, but it's version 4.1.2. Admittedly, the additions since then are relatively minor, but Sony has the unfortunate knack for launching its best phones without the very brightest software."

"When launching the camera app from a freshly booted device, it took a mind-numbing three seconds on average"

http://www.engadget.com/2013/02/20/sony-xperia-z-review/

Uh no, I wouldn't call this a slight edge.. =3
Also I'd like to know how are those better than the GSIV, putting aside aesthetic which is subjective anyway.

He is not researching, he is doing a sad fanboy troll quest looking for all the possible negatives lines about the Z. Anyone can do that fror any phone, the fact that he expend so many time doing that for the Z just show something, he is a hater fanboy, the worse kind.
