I own a Nexus 4 and don't even have one single Samsung phone in the house.
I just call it as I see it. You are obviously a Nokia fan though.

I have no allegiance to any brand but I do find that Nokia fans, followed by HTC fans are by far the worst and most delusional with so many double standards that it is hard to keep track.
54. chaoticrazor (Posts: 2347; Member since: 28 Aug 2012)
you obviously do as samsung fans are the worst even android fans have admitted this. plus you have commented against all other then samsung you and that darac are so similar
im no nokia fan although i have an 808, i use whatever i like regardless of brand or blind loyalty.
seriously though until you admit the obvious which is samsung fanboys have replaced the apple trolls its hard to believe anything you say
56. Taters (Posts: 2402; Member since: 28 Jan 2013)
You sound like a lost cause. You can believe what you want but Samsung fans seem a lot more reasonable than yourself IMO.
58. chaoticrazor (Posts: 2347; Member since: 28 Aug 2012)
see as i thought you and darac must be sharing accounts or something as your comments are so similar
samsung fans are the worst its shown in every article, they blindly praise the s4 yet criticize apple for doing the same thing, up spec's and shiny features
and i know your a samsung fan and you prove my point as your bling to the crap they do.
android central in the comment section as usual. this site used to be for tech lovers not fanboys i.e. sleepingoz who is now spam thumbing my comments like a child lmao

You are hopeless. To be fair, it seems Nokia and HTC fans are on edge because their companies are sliding financially and this makes their fans more defensive and prone to outbursts when their phones are criticized.
With Samsung, they are sitting pretty so their fans are usually more reasonable and level headed knowing that Samsung can promote their products just fine without them.

well sir let tell you something until now i never met fan boys like android fans half of them are reasonable the other half stick his nose in every comment even if it not concern android i saw articles about wp and ios and yet they start bashing about android this and that
and the worst are samsung fans they can't accept the fact that the nexus 4 is better than s3 and maybe s4 they also stick their noses in every article even if it's doesn't concern samy are android i saw an article about nexus 4 and they attacked the phone so much

Regarding the camera, color saturation and balance can easily be adjusted, but noise and other image aberations not so much. The Lumia 920 does appear to have a better sensor, but If Victor H. wants to play games and deny the obvious, then so be it. It would not be the first time that he has skewed the results and tried to put a negative spin on products that are made by Nokia. His lack of objectivity and professional credibility is on display for the rest of the world to see...
The HTC One is a nice product, and has many great features that might give it an edge against the Lumia 920 in other respects, but the image quality of the rear facing camera is lacking, and attempts to portray this as being anything different are illegitimate and/or dishonest (in my opinion).

I still think the review fails to identify the difference between platforms. Calling WP8 clunky with it's tiles is a view, but in the hands of most WP8 users, far from reality. Most of us find all the customisation, animated graphics and trinkets of Android flash, but inconsequential at best and downright confusing and unnecessary at worst. It doesn't add to the usability although it may add to the wow factor ) especially among younger users. Horses for courses but non WP8 users are missing the trick of WP8 and prefer to spout specs instead. Android 'needs' faster processors whereas WP8 doesn't.
As for app, 1 in 10 Droid apps have turned out to contain malware. Most are free gimmicks too. The majority of worthwhile apps are on Windows or coming soon and we've recently seen a flurry of new apps hitting the Windows (phone and W8) platforms before iOS and Android. Why? Because developers are appreciating the ease of writing for a more unified platform and the fact that more people buy apps on WP8 than on Droid.
As for photos, I wonder if the reviewer was using a 920 on Portico. In any event, to my eyes, the Nokia pictures look better in every example, save for the nightclub one.
Does the reviewer also realise that IE on WP8 DOES support Flash? Obviously not. Again, using a device with the latest update might be an idea!
Some will love Android. That's fine and I have no quarm with that but I do get hacked off when reviewers miss the point of WP8 altogether, comparing stats and features in this way. Fine, they both do a similar job and are both flagship devices but they do them in entirely different ways. That user experience is what separates the two and someone might actually write a review that spells this out - the pros and cons of the two platforms. And by platform, I'm not just talking phones. A phone is a micro tablet. We have mini tabs, standard tabs, oversized tabs, laptops, hybrids and desktops. Plus, we have home entertainment (be it through a desktop box or games console). Having unity across the platform will be much more important to 'future-proofing' than the latest processors and to that end, Windows is set to win the race as (a) will be more unified than Android and (b) prove to be more innovative than Apple. It's not there yet, but WP8 users are by the very fact, early adopters and that can only be good for Nokia, Microsoft and other supporters of the platform (including HTC) as the feedback and demands from its users will help spur the innovations that the platform will need to win out.
There are just too many exciting things happening at Microsoft right now to ignore their potential. Android is getting into a pickle with Samsung looking like it's going to develop it's own version (as Amazon and BB already have) and HTC is struggling financially and with production issues. The One may be good, but if they cant manufacture it, they'll miss the boat and lose out to the next gen of Windows phones. But we'll see...

Thank you freetail for pointing those things out. I was going to point some things out just as you did but you pretty much covered everything I wanted to say. You did a much better job at it than what I would of done lol.. my english is not that great ^^;

I agree for the most part of what the HTC One delivers over the L920. The HTC One is the latest of the two phones so i'm not surprised that it is a more powerful device, its like what Victor said .. its not really an apples to apples comparison. But in all reality they will perform about the same in day to day use and performance with the L920 being a lower end phone compared to the One. As far as personal preference between the two here .. would still choose the Lumia 920 over the One. Lumia 920 fares pretty well considering the lower specs, WP runs smooth and efficient all the time and does what i need it to do on a day to day basis with out any gripe, even w/o flash support .. Mobile IE 10 is great especially since most of the sites that i visit support html5. The lack of extensive browser options is really not that bad. The few that WP8 has in the market are great (UC Browswer, Surfcube .. are best IMO) and extend the feature set of IE10. And overall I love the feel of the 920, especially the thickness and the weight is comfortable for me to hold. The weight of the phone is actually and advantage for me, gives me a sense that the phone is built really well (like what nokia is renowned for) and the fact that when I put it in my pocket, I know its there. I tend to be a forgetful person at times so it is a definite plus for me.

"It is the perfect device to record videos with sound from concerts and loud parties."
Really? Did you guys forget about the 808 PureView that you reviewed last year? Guess you did...

Holy sh%^....."The Nokia Lumia 920 does much better when light is scarce, capturing realistic colors and with balanced noise levels."
and this so-called Victor H. claimed 2 a few days ago that Lumia 920 is inferior.
PA...do something with your TEAM!! BECAUSE IT'S RIDICOLOUS!!!!
You're losing your credibility!

@cyko969. Thanks. Thought you actually covered of a few more points very eloquently too. :-)
I was thinking, perhaps we should all use these functions to try to learn something from other platform users about their devices. So, to our Droid friends, how do you get the phone to highlight typos when composing a text? On my daughter's phone (S3) it's just not very obvious.
In return, I can confirm that the latest IE update on WP8 does support Flash.
So there we go... Teach you something and you teach us something. Then we can all make our own minds up without having to rely on curious reviews :-) Better yet, actually spend a little time using a Windows Phone. U might be pleasantly surprised (as I was when I moved from Droid - and BlackBerry before that).
Happy Easter one and all!!! :-)

a lot of people will say that the htc ONE is better the lumia 920 and that is true if come to hardware the one will beat the l920 why the l920 is older than the one so don't get angry my nokia fans brothers i love the l920 it's my dream phone so and this is also for you android fans stop annoying us about nokia not going with android they like the wp if they wanted to go with android they would do the same as samsung and htc.
also in the software side there can be no comparison between the phones they are completely different.
