HTC One X+ vs iPhone 5
0. phoneArena 08 Nov 2012, 09:19 posted on
The HTC One X+ is shaping to be one of Android's battleships this season, thanks to its sped-up quad-core procesor and 64 GB of storage, so as always we are pitting it against the iOS flagship, Apple's iPhone 5. Both handsets have sealed chassis, great LCD screens, and 8 MP cameras, but they target different categories of users from the onset with the size gap. What other differences are there between the two? Read on our comparison to find out...

What else can be expected form Daniel P?
As always a pathetic and biased comparison by Iphonearena!!!

Anytime, anywhere, anyplace, any-year, any country...i'll take the HOX+ over the iP5.

any planet.. any galaxy.. any universe.. any life..
notice that compared to the SGS3, the HOX+ is also beaten in terms of camera quality and more or less wins in other categories..
And compared to the iPhone, it loses in that area, too..
So if the camera is better, I'm sure the HOX+ will be so much win..

Oh man , the camera on the HTC has 10x more functionality and feature rich...and something was off on some of those comparison photos...the distances were off on one anyway, it looked like the i5 was zoomed in closer??
AND he failed to mention that HTC device can equally have photos saved to a 'cloud' service (G+)!

I still use my One x as my camera phone and I have found it to take better on the go and stop images then my Work Iphone 5 does!!!!
Iphone 5 is deff a little more preppy on speed, and slickness of the OS, but in terms of multitasking no doubt the One x is best. Both have different features that make them great. But no doubt the Camera comparison is a little biased. Taking a 1000 pictures with the iphone 5 to get the best one and only taking the first with the one x doesnt cut IT

Be honest dude! :P Even I'm an HTC One X user and I've used iPhone 4 as well.. Though the phone is very good, its camera even when compared to the i4, isn't that better!

Sorry dude, but I have a HTC One X and the phone's camera is very, very good, but it pails in comparison to the iPhone 5. I compared shots with my cousin's iPhone and the One X won in detail, but lost in color accuracy (The reds are not even close), white balance, night shots, and dynamic range. It was marginal I might add (except in color which it lost by quite a bit). And macro shots turned out better on the One X too but over all the iPhone 5 is a better camera phone and it pains me to say it.....Seriously it does....

i trust that iphone 5 is very very good phone but one x+ is unique ..
every advantages that i think about it Provided in this..
most advantage & one of the all is build quality in one x+ that iphone has a
flaw of this ..
the iphone 5 s body is Scratchable & dont give me a sense of confidence ..
both phone have the best screen amoung the smartphones..
both phone are The strongest & i think 0ne x+ is most beautifull even in interface with sense4+.

is this comparison even necessary...? we all know what is better..the one x+ ...and also we all know wat the iphonearena is going to say...jokers of the whole internet..the PA crew that is .!
23. bayusuputra (Posts: 961; Member since: 12 Feb 2012)
and yet you still read the articles from those whom you called "the jokers of the internet"..
Not that I am a fan of iPhone and happy to see PA still gives some sympathy for it (I'm HTC Elevate member, so you know which brand I like), but......
Have some respect for the contributors, please..

i read PA just for fun. to see the comments mainly. when it comes to reviews about phones i basically rely on what the users have to say & user rating rather than what PA says.
anyway..u got a point. was bit too harsh, what i posted earlier. but you really cant just ignore how biased & sometimes hilariously so..some of their reviews are.
36. bayusuputra (Posts: 961; Member since: 12 Feb 2012)
Understand very much that some of their reviews are somewhat biased, especially for the iPhone.. It's okay to comment that the reviews are bad and biased, but just don't call names.. :)
Anyway, no hard feelings, bro..

I have the new ipad and while i love watching videos on it, it is unable to playback 1080p movies. I have Sherlock Homes-2 7.5gb file as a test file. It just won't run on the ipad. I have tried more than 5 different paid players too.
What about on the iphone 5? Can it play such files?
And what about on android high ends like the s3 or note hox+? Can they play 8gb 1080p files?
Those who have tried, kindly let me know. Thanks in advance

I assure you that any high-end Android smartphone/tablet can run such a movie file. GB doesn't matter and mostly file FORMAT too. So far from my experience the MKV files are the best quality and most of the (even free) players for Android play them with NO problem at all. Some of the stock Android players play them out of the box too (talking about MKV) so NO WORRY about that in case of Android! ;)

iPhone 5, not so sure.. but read again the articles.. It says it has some difficulties.. and if your iPad can't, most probably the iP5 won't be able to do the same..
I can even play 1080p MKV file on my almost-two-year-old Desire S, although it's glitchy, but I do get sound and image.. Just because it still have two years old GPU and a single core CPU.. So naturally, it can only play 720p videos.. 1080p can be played, but laggy.. most of dual core android can play 1080p, so about the current high ends, don't need to even ask..

at this point in time, comparisons between heavy weight mammoths like one x+ with flimsy fruit seems really dated.

This comment was rather unnecessary fluff: "the iPhone 5 is the best iPhone created so far"
Are they going to make a phone that's worse than the last?
Either way, my biggest problem is in the UI and Functionality section... the guy just totally glossed over what HTC added with their UI. Oh well.

One X+ by a country mile! Even if arguably, the iP5 has a better camera, that is where any superiority ends as in every other aspect, it is quite a way back in the rear view mirror of the One X+!
41. NewLife2011 (Posts: 8; Member since: 03 Jan 2012)
Seriously. To me it's not close. I'd been on the iphone since 2008 but as soon as the iphone5 dropped I knew it was time to move on. I really wanted the One X+ but after several trips to AT&T I went with the Note II. With all this talk of handsets what I'm most enjoying is Android's Jellybean. My god the FFFFFRRRREEEEEDOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!!!

Yes we know which is the best, don't compare the first 5 core prossesor( Ex: HTC 4+1 cores, 4 - 1.5gh and +1 for Htc sense, for app ) with iphone 5 dual core. I phone 5 just jevelery... Whole world love because of brand... Frankly, I don't want use Iphone, I'm web programmer, i'ts hard to use iphone for application which I use to...
