this is a truly great phone, i would probably even consider owning one myself if it came to Verizon. i can't wait to see what the Motorola X has in store for us. HTC or Motorola for 2013!!!

I hope the HTC one gets the aws band on Verizon.

It is definitely between this and the motorola x for me this year, I'll hold out until I see what motorola/google has in store for that device before I make a decision.

Htc design some of the best looking phones! Too bad they are struggling.

Because HTC is paying Apple for f****g stupid useless patents of rounded corner, aluminium backcover & bouncing scroll effect!

I held a dummy version today. Very nice in the hand. Later tonight I've got a tricky decision to make. S4, HTC One or Xperia Z.

I am truly excited. I can't wait to get one. What I really like is all the sammy fans that trash talked this device seeming disappointed with the leaks today about their phone. They will still buy their phone (Which will still be a great phone) and continue to bash this one. In the end I think the HTC is overall going to be a better phone of the two even if they lose in the sells catagory. Which doesn't mean it is a better product no matter what you say. All it means is it is a more popular product. If you are disappointed let go of having to have the S4 and buy the better phone. I believe that is what I am doing.
35. REYNER posted on 14 Mar 2013, 12:55 0
agree with you at some point but i dont think that the recent leaks will be the s4 maybe thats just the improved version of sIII samsung is known for releasing such improve previous flagship(GS plus, advance, sII plus) but if that turns out to be true i will take HTC One hands down

I will NOT sacrifice removable battery and expandable memory SD slots for asthetics. Beauty doesn't get the job done.
Evidently, many new HTC fans have discovered something because of beauty. As an HTC user for 9 years, be warned. While the phone may be great to behold, battery life has been the trade off as well as charging ports being broken due to more frequent charging. What will you do when both these items pass away outside of manufacturer's warranty? With no way to get to the battery, you're left with a nice looking brick.
Also, to celebrate on board memory over SD slotted cards, is another mistake for consumers. I have had two phones where the one died completely and one suffered on board memory failure. All info is lost without retrieval. And, why the move to get consumers to pay close to 120 dollars more for an increase in memory, when a larger capacity card is far cheaper.
People need to look at these things. What good is a device if you out grow it before end of contract?

The only gripe I have with the One and it's huge for me.. is lack of removable battery and no SD slot. I just can't buy one without that. :(
if it gets Note2 type battery life, I could forgo the removable battery.. but I hated not having a SD card slot on my Nexus and won't go through that again.

You seem to ignore the fact that there is nothing preventing the GS4 from being better AND more popular. They arent mutually exclusive things. In my honest opinion, the GS3 was not only more popular than the HTC One X, it was also the better phone which is reflected in the 7.8 score for the One X and the 9.3 for the GS4.
I haven't seen anything change here really so far. The GS4 should still have better ergonomics, button placement, software options , battery life, etc.

Htc made the awesome smartphones . Things to improve battery & camera. Same for all android phones. Battery charging time is also crucial . Htc one is one of the best device of 2013. But purchasing depends on value of money compare to other phones with same spec. Today all smartphone manufactures are focusing on new features but ignoring core feature improvement . Like call management software , messaging , removable battery or battery case, etc.
Hardware improvement is just a one side of coin. Software side is also crucial.
Customisation should result in productive and quick work.
Htc one success depends on how well they price their product considering local competition of each market.
Quality products also require great marketing in 2daya over competing market ...

They need to do VS between HTC One and the Lumia 920 camera. Next phone I get, I want a good camera. I have an upgrade waiting to happen and I'm trying to hold out till Nokia's new hardware arrives to decide which way I should go. I'm still using my HD2 lol.

Once the price for this bad boy and Xperia ZL is announced, I'll make my decision.
With Oppo Find 5 as a back-up and cheaper option..

and you ve given Xperia Z 8.5 ? proves again the website is bad & biased ! Owns a Z!
108. Andrewtst posted on 15 Mar 2013, 15:15 0
Z won't be much higher score than one, it loose every single part except win of water resistant.
Processor older and lower, screen bad viewing angle and can't even match any brand flagship in market.
Speaker was weak and low volume output.
73. rayman173 posted on 14 Mar 2013, 14:55 3
Exceptional job HTC, once again you've impressed me but you have some tough competition. I'll have to see how this stacks up against the Xperia Z before I make my decision.

HTC one have better hardware Samsung have the better software hard choice be I'm leaning to the one because of the speakers and screen

No SD = No Buy
You all can continue lying to yourselves but smartphones are here to simplify life and be the ultimate all-in-one.
Smartphones should add features not take them away

SIII - 9.3, HTC ONE - 9.1???? Seriously???the One really deserves higher!
87. Taters posted on 14 Mar 2013, 17:18 0
Why would it? The GS3 was brilliant for it's time. Big phone that appears tiny. In fact, it is still smaller than the HTC One and it has a larger screen. The GS3 was super comfortable to use and has no compromises.
This has some poor button placement and is way too big for a 4.7 inch phone. Same size as the Droid DNA. Plus the camera and battery life apparently sucks.
89. gwuhua1984 posted on 14 Mar 2013, 17:43 1
I don't understand why you keep saying the camera and battery life sucks. The camera is pretty darn good considering it's only a 4mp. The battery life last through the day, not to mention there was previous report showing video playback lasting a lil more than 8 hours.

106. KingKurogiii posted on 15 Mar 2013, 13:27 0
oh so you're allowed to pick straws with the One but when everybody calls out Samsung for giving us more of the same then we're all being ridiculous? i wouldn't expect the battery life on the SIV to be that grand either btw.
88. itiswhatitis posted on 14 Mar 2013, 17:20 0
Being honest and truthful I hope that Samsung sells tons of s4 so that HTC reduce the price of 'One'

I'm a sells rep for AT&T, and to me I don't care for a recycled design. So, buh-bye galaxy, and hello HTC One! I will sell the hell out of this device!!!
