HTC DROID DNA vs Samsung Galaxy S III

0. phoneArena 05 Dec 2012, 06:22 posted on

Being the latest entrant in the smartphone kingdom, there’s no arguing the imposing presence of the super spec’d HTC DROID DNA. Simply put it, the smartphone is one immaculate piece of tech that’s a sure fire competitor ready to fend of the hungry competition this holiday season. However, in order for it be glorified and accepted openly as an upper echelon device, it really needs to show its worth to what’s arguably regarded as the most prestigious Android smartphone pushed out this year – the Samsung Galaxy S III...

Well SIII is still proving that it can give a tough competition to powerful beasts so far.

You are right about the Samsung Galaxy S III, BUT the HTC Droid DNA has that 1080p screen that is just literally to die for. Also let's mention that the quad-core Krait S4 Pro is more future proof than the dual-core Krait S4 Pro.

To me the HTC Droid DNA is just a VERY capable phone that is really future proof. I got mine rooted & there is word around the grapevine that S-OFF has been achieved.

+1

All I can say dude is I LOVE my DNA. This phone is a monster, and the battery life is very reasonable for how I use it.

I am with you guys 100%. The HTC Droid DNA is already is a vicious beast, & with a PURE AOSP ROM it will dominate.

Both RootzWiki & Xda have a Senseless ROM that just came out today. It's a Beta 1 BUT it's progress toward a PURE AOSP.

Check it out!

doesn't matter what kind of screen it has.
16 gigs of internal memory and no slot for memory cards are a huge nail o its coffin.

Why would PA do that???
You want to go down the "Bias" road again???
Besides, SIII is one of the better looking phones...
That being said, DNA is better in my opinion, but i won't throw SIII like that!

SIII is certainly a good phone. I just think much my like Galaxy Nexus that it's ugly as hell. Samsung has been making some rather unatractive phones.

+1 shnibz.
still s3 is a good phone but not Against droid dna..
just see:
performance & Panchmark
build quality
design
Screen
sense4+
beats

samsung always is more popular for softwar..they are unique in this case..but most of softwar programs can port on the other phones..like direct call..
but design and builld quality never come back with up.

i think s3 couldnt beat one x in very aspect..one X+ is more powerful than s3 and beat it in very aspects..its clear about dna.

finally must accpet that droid dna best this year in total..

You forgot to throw in the negatives of the DNA.

I dont think the DNA is best by a long shot.

if they are saying that the droid DNA is better then why have they given more review scores to the s3.

Review scores are done based on the competition at that time. The GS3 got a 9.3 because nothing could touch it at the time and it set the bar higher for smartphones. This also proves the .3 deference because the GS3 was still the king after a few months on the market. No doubt the GS3 will be the phone of the year.

It's really amazing that the 6-month old GALAXY SIII can still hold it's own against all these new smartphones.

GS3 is 6 months old and looks boring now, GS3 has more software features but JB has made things like S-Voice obsolete.

DNA all the way.

I don't hear ppl complaining about Nexus 4 with even less memory. Remember Nexus 4 were sold out on contract at Tmo as well.

I guess Wifi serves the well?

Nexus 4 is a bargain.
It costs as much as a midrange phone, but has the latest OS and tech.
You don't have to be a power user to realize the benefit of getting a Nexus 4.

As for me, I said it already - no way it could replace my S3, with that kind of storage

I know Tmo works for you bro, but there are still too many places like where I live where Tmo is straight garbage man. Otherwise you are right.

Sure, the GSIII is old now and I'd recommend the DNA over it to anyone but don't be in denial of the plus that expandable memory gives you. Not everyone's willing to waste money over data usage when one can access his files for free using a memory card.
