The iPhone 3GS is a very capable multimedia platform, but as a smartphone with a lot of technology packed into a small body, there are compromises. does it record in stereo like the Blue Mike?

I've read forum comments that say this mic has audio artifacts unless wi-fi is turned off (or airplane mode is turned on). Since I was hoping to use this mic for conference calls as well as recordings, I'm wondering if you can tell me your experience.
- have you found that there's wi-fi-related noise?
- if you turn wi-fi off, (*not* airplane mode) and make a call with this mic, how's the sound?
