0. phoneArena 27 Oct 2011, 09:44 posted on

All launched relatively close to one another, the Motorola DROID BIONIC, Samsung Galaxy S II for T-Mobile, and Apple iPhone 4S are all vying for supremacy in being proclaimed as the best of the best. We’ve all waited long enough this year to finally see these quality smartphones, so which one will ultimately outgun the rest in finding itself home in your hands?...

there's statements about what Apple actually does right and they're true. can't deny it. with an un-biased point of view all of those statements are pretty right on. i was even using an iPhone 4S yesterday and it's a very nice phone...but it's no Droid Bionic and that's what Phone Arena came to in the end as well.

yea they are very good at bringing out the good point about the iphone.. to be fair that could have pointed out more good points about the other phones.. the only statement that i agree with this article is iphone having the best screen, all other statements are not so true
.. for example "Even though the iPhone 4S continues to excel in offering us a sensual web browsing experience, which has been a staple since the first iPhone"
that is just straight up opinion and BS, most all high end android will give you a way better browsing experiance than iphone/ipad/ipod..

well yeah, they aren't as proud of other phones as they are the iPhone but it didn't condemn the review. i think they are. they didn't say it was more sensual than browsers on other phones. they said it has a sensual web browsing experience and it does.

Galaxy. S Your comment has been the most terrible I've read, you do not deserve to use the Nick of galaxy.

i was playing with Siri at the Apple Store yesterday and it's a fun feature to use. it's done better than Google's own Voice services we've had since Android 2.0 Eclair. i hope that's copied some time... xD

Well damn. You recommended the Bionic over the iPhone. This pleases me. :D

I still think the Bionic is an excellent device despite the Razr coming out. It definitely still deserves a look.

Bionic is future proof? Pre orders for the razor are available today.

Awful review

you miss the point and we all know you're just butt-hurt about your 4S not being praised as being the best thing since sliced bread.

Well when PA recommends the bionic out of the 3 as future proof how can you take them seriously.

Ultimately the consumer will decide with their pocket which is e best phone. I have a feeling it won't be the bionic.

yeah, out of the three it most certainly is the most future proof. xD

oh is that why you read the review? to see what the critics have to say then decide that the average consumers are the ones that know what is truly better?

Yes at the end of the day if your product doesn't sell you lose.

Bionic will have by far the worst sales of the 3.

yeah, i feel like such a loser right now. i might go sell my Bionic on Swappa and get an iPhone 4S just to get rid of this feeling of being a loser because i don't have what 20 people around me in a 10 mile radius has. xD

maybe. i don't care about that though. i care about the phone and this review of it has spoken. Droid Does Forever. ;)

You don't get it. It's not about being like others. It's that if it's a great phone people will notice and buy it.

PA isn't the end all be all. I can't imagine too many people that would prefer a bionic over an iPhone. This is PA the land of rabid droidbots.

the iPhone has this thing called a reputation and it's had it since 2007. you know who the people are that actually do the research? it's us and we know better than to give in to buying an iPhone because it's an iPhone. we do comparisons like the one we just did here and you see the conclusion we came to? the Droid Bionic is a better buy than the iPhone 4S. if i didn't know anything about phones the iPhone's reputation would lead me to an Apple Store and i might would get an iPhone 4S. it feels good, it's fast, it's pretty, lots of Apps, you know why not? but that's not the case. i do know about what's out there and i like Android phones like the Droid Bionic more than the iPhone 4S.

no. i just share the same opinion as the writer in this review. if you just tried to burn me you'd have better luck with a used match that's an hour old.

KK, i never thought this day would come, but i gotta agree with taco over you.

Im sorry, track records tell me that the bionic is the least future proof and will be the first of the 3 to stop being officially supported.

why would the Bionic stop being supported?
who's track record are we talking about? because last time i checked Motorola is second in having the most handsets updated and is quickest in getting the updates to handsets. the Bionic still just came out a month ago. it may be a mid-high-end device but it's still sold well and Motorola will support it. also by future-proof Phone Arena means it's specs will be the last to be outdated. LTE is becoming the country's gold standard and all carriers will eventually be using it. then there's also the fact that the T-Mobile Galaxy S II uses an S3 which means i don't see it supporting future graphically intense game titles as well as an OMAP4 and it uses HSPA+ 42mbps which isn't bad but the network's growth will eventually cease as soon as T-Mobile gets LTE which might be soon if AT&T aquires T-Mobile and as for the 4S it's down sides go without saying.

did you actually look at that upgrade chart that everyone has been posting on their websites? Motorola has the worst record by far compared to HTC and Samsung.. lol

you are really confusing "DROID updates on VZW" with "motorola's over all update record".. which are 2 seperate things. Outside of VZW, moto has a horrid horrid update record.

The Hercules comes with 2.3.5, so its the most advance version to launch to date. Yea, the S3 sucks, but if it sells well, then samsung will support it for at least 1 more update.. which means ICS. after that its probably SoL.

Im not buying a phone without ICS out of the box at this point.. screw buying a new device that is already behind. If i dont get the nexus, imma wait to see what else comes out.

okay, you're going to have to link me to this. xD

i don't look at them separately. i look at the manufacturers overall record. besides why does it matter if you have a Droid? i could care less about the rest because i know i'm gonna be getting my updates pretty damn quick. :P

so does the Samsung Stratosphere. what's your point?
yeah but that's not what i was talking about with it being future proof as you see. i was definitely right. you should have more faith bro. you totally dooped me for taco. >:P

i might get the Droid 4 because i'm hungry for some LTE and more RAM and i still love my keyboard. it'll also have SAA on a 4.0" screen so no trade-offs for meee! (:

how is the bionic least future proof if its the only one out of the three being compared that has LTE, which is the standard for 4g that all carriers are going to? LMAO at that remixfa.

For post #5...#1 If a person would be -umb enough to buy the 64GB version of the iphone4S at $399.00--that would be the biggest waste of money...Where would you be going--lugging that much data around...#2.. The iphone4S doesn't have enough power to process that much of data (64gb) without a 3 minute lag to catch up...if not force closing--The iphone4s, yes is dual core, but 800 mhz, and with 512mb of RAM, the poor phone would never process 64gb of data without shutting down or taking a considerable amount of time to process....--don't even mention multi tasking--Internet-face-time (ON wifi only), shift to Angry birds, go back to your pdf---force close..
