Apple iPhone 4 Review

Another year, another iPhone right? Well the Apple iPhone 4 is here! Now and in the flesh! But will it be enough to withstand the onslaught of competition that's currently catching up, consistently evolving, and closing the gap?

Hey This site has allways given their personal feeling and brand image to affect their reviews. You can see it when you check for example Sony Ericsson reviews. Usually they give it better scores compared to similar phones from other brands. We are humans we have allways prefeelings about something but you should be neutral when you write review. Must say that I have used Apple, S-E, Nokia, Samsung allmost every brand. Some are good for business use or to talk or some in entertainmet, some have good batteries and some very bad. People don't trust everything in this world. Try it and feel if it is good for you.

9.5?! Well there goes your credibility as an unbiased review site. It's ludicrously comical that you can give a phone a rating of 9.5 if it has fundamental problems MAKING CALLS. Stick a "Sponsored by Apple" up by your logo and be done with it. 9.5.... geez

For an unbiased review and score that the iPhone is actually worthy of, look at this review by CNET:

IMHO the iPhone actually deserves the score on CNET. PhoneArena's score is way too high for a phone that doesn't work that well as a phone. I say this impartially, I loved the 3GS. But 9.5 is too high for a phone this flawed.

Every now and then, a product is developed that revolutionizes the market in which it is designed for; this is especially true for the ground-breaking technology introduced in the Apple iPhone. First released in January of 2007 the iPhone took the cell phone market by storm and has not looked back. Not only has this device changed the way we communicate it has also challenged the cell phone providers to keep pace with an ever increasing demand for data transfer and bandwidth. As with virtually all of Apples products, the “gold” standard has been set leaving the competition to scramble to catch up.
The Apple iPhone introduced to the cell phone market many innovative new technologies such as touch such as the touch screen, mobile apps, flipping screen and much more. Later models of the iPhone have allowed users to talk and use data at the same time; this is a feature only available on GSM 3g networks which I will discuss in more detail later. The most popular and innovative feature of the iPhone are the app’s available through Apple iTunes store. As of June 2010 there were 225,000 apps available in the iTunes app store (www.toylounge.com). These applications cover area such as business, social networking, music, entertainment and games just to name a few. A recently released app, and my personal favorite, is the Netflix app, which allows you to watch movies, and television shows on your iPhone via streaming video anytime and anywhere.

It is rubbish, the phone is limited to music, the battery life is poor and the reception is the worst i have ever seen, and on top of the that is one of the most expensive to buy. Sorry Apple, you got it wrong again....

So I've had the iPhone 4 since it's release and I have a lot of positive things to say about the phone such as: The smoothness of the OS, it's camera quality, display, phone build and battery. On the down side, which for me is a major killer of the phone is the call quality. I would blame it on AT&T but a friend with the atrix that's standing right next to me would have a flawless quality where I am standing their cutting out and it being very choppy. The second thing would be customization. Beyond changing the wall papers and app folders you basically have no control over the phone. Maybe it's just an age thing (22) but I would like to be able to do a lot more customizations with my phone. Next would be the speaker phone, I would rate it at a 5 at best out of 10. Again choppy and just not as clear as i'd like it to be. No flash on it, that isn't the biggest issue but it'd still be nice to have. Speaker for music is again sub-par 5/10. For me the negatives outweigh the positives by far. I buy a phone to talk on it and the call quality just isn't there. After seeing the rating of a 9.5, and reading the review of why. I must really ask if the author was being completely honest with his review. After this experience with the iPhone I will not be purchasing another iPhone devise for a while and I've been an iPhone user since the start.

Apple’s Iphone is one of the most sought-after gadgets in the world today. It has the most excellent features that can mesmerize anybody – which just proves that its popularity will not be waning out any time soon. Iphones, by default, are usually SIM-locked to just one network – which limits you to the services which that particular network offers and nothing else. Hence, you will not be able to avail of the better services that another network offers, or the more affordable fees that the competing network has. Fortunately, this dilemma can be easily solved by unlocking your Iphone. By doing this, you will have a wider choice of apps for your Iphone and you will be able to avail of better services that your current network provider might not be able to provide. Thanks a lot.
