No Upgrade for Iphone4 or Thunderbolt. Should i add a new line?

I don't have an upgrade from Verizon until April. Should i add on a new line to get the phone at the contract price and then drop my old line? I dont want to pay full retail and verizon wont allow an early upgrade.

Wait until your upgrade becomes available. Verizon is supposed to be coming out with the 4G iPhone right around that time. Good things come to those who wait.

He said it. Be patient. April is not that far away.

To get around the upgrade thing - add a line if you can, then move the new phone to your existing line, and your old phone to your new line - after a week, call Verizon and advise them that you are not happy with the extra line and disconnect for no fee. They have a no question 30 day satisfaction. From their screens it looks like you brought your own phone to that line and there is no issue. I have done this a few times to get the latest when i wanted it.

Do not do what Sara suggested- Verizon has a 14 day return policy (not 30) and if you call them they will/can see the original phone and make you return that one. If you don't return the original phone to the store they can charge you the early termination fee for a smartphone ($350) and some stores have a secondary policy covering them from any "chargebacks" and could charge you full retail value.

Wait!!! Better, more stable phones will be out by then. LTE will be more dominate and stable by then as well.

I understand how hard it is to wait some times, however if you do what youve said when you drop your old line youd have to pay a etf, not worth it. Also I agree strongly with some of the other comments april isnt that far away. If you really cant wait til april and if you really are willing to pay the the extra ten dollars for two years to get this new phone, what are you going to do when in six months they release the next new device? The paitent dog gets the biggest bone, and yes Sara is absolutely wrong.
