2011 The Year of Transition

When you compare 2010 to 2011, there is no comparison to this point. Innovation has slowed to a crawl this year, as the phone makers are still unsure how to handle the transition to LTE.

Want to get people to move off center and purchase a phone in 2011, deliver what we we really want. Something that will work today and tomorrow. Build us a phone that qualifies as a 3G world phone (with sim card slot), LTE capable, an 8 mp rear camera, a 3 mp front facing camera, 1500 MHz, dual core, snap dragon processor and finally a 32 gb memory card. And by all means, make it look HOT (see the iPhone or cancelled Motorola Droid Bionic). No one likes the humpback whales they are turning out to accommodate the flash and camera. Maybe this is asking too much, but I don't think so. They could have easily done this by now.

Manufacturers, you want an iPhone killer? Deliver the above package with the Android operating system. Sorry Windows, you're still playing catch-up.

If you're wanting to upgrade your smart phone, wait until late 2011 or early 2012. There's nothing on the market that blows the old 2010 models away.
