Metro skipped 3g for 4g LTE. They need to make 3g available across the us because these new line of phones they're getting need good network speed to make them work how they need to work.

Yeah that sucks... well maybe they might add 3g but i don't think so. they will probably continue to expand 4g and 4g phones so you can get one

Get Alcatel Fierce, Nokia 521 (or other GSM device), you'll have 3G & 4G.

Metro pcs does have 3g. Metro has cdma2000 which is the first 3g technology. Other cmpanies like Verizon, Cricket and Sprint have EVDO which is the latest type of 3g. Metro Pcs has also halted halted there 4g expansion since there androids have been using up alot of data and they need to back there network up. When they get all there coverage up to 4g there 3g network will not have as much lag, but will not be as fast as cricket.

They have 2 kinds og 3G: EVDO (from the "original" Metro + Sprint's roaming) and WCDMA (from T-mobile & ATT).

metro pcs may have 3g depending on area becasue there updating only 20 percent. If i read it right 1x could start converting to 4g :)
