Requires dataplan or PTT

PhoenixLAU 18 Mar 2010, 22:02 posted on

Unlike the other Push-to-talk capable phones like Barrage, Convoy, etc. which were exempt from Verizon's current 3G multimedia phone $10+ required dataplan policy, the Brigade will require it. The only way to bypass the dataplan requirement is to get the $5 PTT service.

At least it is cheaper than the other data plans required for some of the phones. It really surprised me that it was on the Brigade, considering that all the other rugged phones are similar other than the keyboard.

Where are you getting your info from? I am aware that Verizon's website clearly states that the $9.99 data package is REQUIRED on this phone, yet when I activated one, no data plan came with it. Thought it was a glitch, but when I did it again the same thing happened... Makes me go hmmmm
