Did Verizon drop the $9.99 data nonsense on this phone?

Looked last week and it wanted 10/month. Browsing 4 days ago and it didn't have it on the site, so I jumped on it. I just bought one, no data plan req'd and it still functions perfectly.

It never required the $10/mo data feature. If you want to use VZ Navigator, E-mail, or Web, it's highly recommended, or else you get charged $1.99/MB. If you are using the phone to make calls, text, and take pictures, its not required.
