WATERPROOF smartphone but very laggy (android version 4.04)
hplter has owned it for less than year before publishing this review
pros:
lightweight, WATERPROOF (IP67)
cons:
VERY LAGGY due to insufficient RAM(merely 512MB of RAM), UI not responding especially when you open many tabs in chrome browser
The screen is small (3.5 inches)

sony xperia go is good phone for its body , processor and Smartphone with dust and water resistant Sony's first rugged handset since ditching Ericsson as its mobile phone partner, the Sony Xperia Go has taken a number of design hints from its fellow Android-filled, Xperia-branded siblings, lining up with an appealing aesthetic that detracts from the hard-wearing rugged nature of the svelte smartphone.
Despite being IP67 certified - meaning it is dust-proof and can be submerged up to 1m underwater for as long as 30 minutes without damage, the Sony Xperia Go is a slim, compact phone that lines up at a minimalist 9.8mm thick and 110g in weight, just 0.5mm thicker than the smartphone-defining Apple iPhone 4S and considerably lighter than a number of its similarly priced lower mid-market rivals such as the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2.Build quality 10/10Reception 8/10Call quality 9/10Internet 10/10Multimedia 9/10Camera 10/10UI speed 10/10Everyday usage 10/10Text input 9/10Display 8/10Battery 8/10

Build issues, poor earphone, and below par display

Brought it as the second phone for rugged use, but the mic suddenly became very faint and kicked out. The mic test confirms its working (very faintly) and then from the sony forum i found this is a common problem with the phone and is hardware and software related. The speakerphone is also not very loud.
The phone is nicely sized, and wider screen makes it an usable 3.5" (unlike the narrow format of the Xperia Ray) and though the resolution is lower than most other Xperia phones in this price range, 480x320 is workable.
However Sony's woes with their ICS update has made almost all their phones suffer, and shame on that.Build quality 5/10Reception 6/10Call quality 3/10Internet 5/10Multimedia 4/10Camera 7/10UI speed 6/10Everyday usage 6/10Text input 6/10Display 5/10Battery 5/10Pros
- Water Proofing
- Design
- Decent Display Resolution
- Dual Core hardware
- Decent camera
Cons
- Speakerphone low volume
- Mic very faint
- Software issues
- ICS update only for the brave
