great phone

shebj has owned it for more then one year before publishing this review

I purchased mine in october 2006. And only by the date of yesterday I have a new phone, a walkman mix by SE. the reason? because I got that new phone as a present.

I never even thought of replacing it by another one. It still works perfectly. I charge it around 4 days, even whilst listening to music for hours; it just can last so long.

it has fallen numerous times ; can't even count them. and not all falls were soft. It as been in the rain. Short, it has endured almost everything.

the only problem I have right now is the fact that I have to plug in earphones to call. I can hear people but they can't hear me unless I plug in the earphones. But hey ; what did you expect of a phone so old.

and even though I now have this new phone, I'm still carrying around my ohter phone ; just can't seem to part with it :) one of the best phones ever.

about the size ; I have small hands and this phone just fits in them perfectly. and I like the fact that it has a bit of weight , at least I can't forget it is in my pocket this way


and btw, it does have a slot flor a memorycard

this can be quite slow. luckily I don't use a phone for the internet

that's what it has been designed for in the first place so logically that it is perfect

speed is perfect. It has never , but really never gotten a freeze and you click twice and you're in the messagecenter

I'm used to it so it really isn't a problem ; I have more problems with complete keyboards on cellphones because the knobs are so small

I like the fact that I can adjust themes and download them.

Battery 10/10

Pros

• it's a musicplayer with the nice extra that you can txt and call with it
• except for the nokia 3310 I haven't heard of any other phone that lasted so long as did mine

I purchased this phone in Sept 2006, ti is Aug 2010 and I still use it.  It's an awsome phone.  Here's Why:     PROS1.    Have dropped this phone several times on concrete, still works fine.2.    Contains features that many "advanced" phones do not such as recording phone conversations3.    I have used this phone in the desert, with sand on it, it still works fine.4.    It has 9.5 Hours of Talk time, something the "smart" phones need to work on5.    It has internet capabilities....yes, you are able to view porn6.    You can Listen to FM radio!7.    This phone is da shizzle!8.    It pretty much does it all, ringtones, music dj, games, bluetooth, calendar, set appointments, you name it9.    You're able to record someones conversation then transfer it to your computer! Then you can upload it to the internet!         Great for court cases!10.  Doesn't look much but you will be surprised by how much it can do, yes.. it has a video camera as well!CONS1.  Speaker phone needs to be louder so you can use while driving your car2.  Slow text messaging....you have to press number '2' Three times to enter letter 'C'..3.  Has voice control dialing but I could never get it to work!  maybe it's just me!4.  No GPS  but it was made in 2006 so....no other phones had that eitherIt has been...

Good short term phone

i had this phone for over a year; i bought it in august 07 for around £70 ( i think!! )i had the lime green colour and it was a really cute phone and i liked the design of it, although it was quite chunky.the camera was rubbish but it was meant to be a music phone and the walkman features  worked well.the external display was useful but would have been nicer in colour!  the main screen was quite small aswell.unlike other people i quite liked the keys! but the text used throughout the phone looks quite old, big, pixelly etc but thats probably just my personal opinion and no one else may have a problem with it!other features were good and overall it was a good phone for the price paid but i wouldnt have it for life!

3 Year's old and still works well

I purchased this in May 2006 as an unlocked phone in Russia - In fact I believe it was not available in the UK at that time so I had something different. I have rated it's features according to what was available in 2006. Some reviewers have clearly purchased much later. My main point about this phone is that it has never let me down. I fancy a new phone but find it hard to justify as this one works perfectly well. Many modern phones have a lot of features, but this often means needing to charge the phone more often. It has even held it's charge when skiing in -20 degrees C whereas my previous Siemens would go flat very quickly in these temperatures even without using it.
OK so the camera is rubbish - I have a good digital camera! The music player is fine though I would prefer a port for a headphone jack as the connection shared for charging and syncronising can be now be a little iffy at times - and requires a bit of a wriggle. Nevertheless I have been very pleased with it and must say it has turned out to be a good buy - far more so than previous phones. That said, my Motorola never let me down until I put it in the washing machine!
Price paid approx 9000 Russian roubles (about 180GBP)

Pros

• Excellent battery, even after 3 years. Compact and good build quality

It is probably too late to save anyone from purchasing one of these. The big problem is the key design. They actually overlap so it is very easy to hit the wrong one. A real pain for entering numbers! The camera and speakerphone are no good either! JUNK

I REALLY ENJOY IT

I have had this phone for a while and i am very plased in it. but i think the camera could be a little better. i love the design it is girly so i like it. i love the buttens because they are very different then other phones. and i love the sound it makes when i open my phone.... thanks.

Very Good Price/Quality Relation

I bought it one week ago and i love it!!. It have anything that i want and more. I only want a little bigger screen but this works. If you don't want to spend a lot of money for a really good cell phone, buy this!!!

Nice Phone

This is a nice phone. If you're looking for an affordable yet feature-packed Walkman phone, this is the right one for you. The speaker is really loud and the sound quality is great! :D
Just one drawback. Don't expect a high-end resolution for the cam pics because it has VGA. Anyway, it's a music phone, not a camera phone. :)

i hate it....maan.it looks like a toy in ur hand!!!
and the orange light on black(if u have a black phone)looks ughhh

it has a very good memory capasity. sleek design and very good value for money. i would advise any music lovers to buy thhis phone it like most sony ericsson walkmans but very cheap abousolutly brilliant

Cool little phone, with lots of features

I like it. I wish it had a better the screen had a higher resolution than 128x160, but since the phone is small and cheap then I can't blame the phone for its short comings. This phone is full of features that you would normally find in an expensive phone. I like the fact that this phone comes with 20Mb of ram, plus a 256Mb M2 card. I also like the fact that I can plug the usb cable into my linux box and I can transfer files to and from the phone.

Just came into my hands

I have purchased this phone today, so my opinion is preliminary.
First impression: very good. Same features then w800i, but half a price !!!
Will come back later, after using this thing a few days.
