K608 is a 3G device which supports both UMTS and GSM (900/1800/1900 Mhz) networks. Sony Ericsson's dual front camera/phone design makes the handset vertical when it's a phone, and horizontal when it's a camera, and the fully featured 1.3 MegaPixel camera includes an active lens cover for swift activation and extra protection.

Technology

GSM:
GSM - Global System for Mobile communications. A world standard for digital cellular communications using narrowband TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access), which allows up to eight calls at a time on 800 MHz and 1800 MHz frequencies. Introduced in 1991. Is the standard most commonly used in Europe and Asia, but not in the United States.
