So the SVC phone is GSM

I like (thank goodness I did), what Shelbydate wrote in the reviews; that the SVC phone is strictly a GSM phone, which didn't work out for his folks, and consequently got them a CDMA tracfone, that did work out.
Which CDMA phone was it? Does it cost the same $15 as this one? Does the SVC plan still apply even if it's a different phone? And probably most importantly; is there an independent website that properly covers network type coverage (properly).

I want TracFone. I have two cellular #s one from Illinois(630 area code) the other from Florida(239 area code) I want to transfer them to Tracfone. When I select the phons the only choice I have is GSM based (T-Mobil carrier in Fl with next to no signal in my place). Could I get around this and get CDMA based cellulars? Thank you
