text messages number of letters

I faced a very strange problem i never faced with nokia.
I used to write big messages but when i do that with Galaxy S after reaching the 0/3 number of letters the message converted to multimedia message... is that normal? and could i increase that number of letters per message???

yes in my case also its the same.
i checked the message settings but did not find any which can increase the text sms seize...i think its the default setting in galaxy s. Younig

just download the Handcent SMS and you would get your solution..

i also experience that.. try to go to message - left click - settings - creation mode then check the restricted..

a common doubt..! how many times u can update an android version on ur mobile..?
for example from 2.2.1(froyo) to 2.3.3 (GB) and 2.3.- etc etc...!! how many times u can do that..?
