recommendations for older Samsung Galaxy S II or similar

my daughter needs to get a used/refurbished phone to finish out our TMobile contract
She loves the Samsung Galaxy S II but can't afford it
are their other similar Samsung touchscreen models you would recommend?
looking for less expensive but still good functionalilty (especially for web surfing)--perhaps an older model that we could find for less $$?

My daughter doesn't play games that much so really good functionality for web surfing and larger than smaller screen are highest priorities.
