Because At&t hasn't yet officially rolled out their 4g LTE network. They just recently flipped the switch for it in 5 test markets, but as of right now they don't have any 4g LTE capable devices. I remember reading somewhere (most likely here) that they are looking to release 4g LTE devices in the 4th quarter, though.

AT&T has LTE devices already on their lineup, but they are not handsets, they are Wireless cards and devices used to internet. Tamelion1117 is also correct in the fact that LTE is not out oficially in the U.S.
