RAM management in galaxy ace

I am facing some issue. regarding RAM storage.. check the same in your mobile.. By opening task manager and switching to RAM. It will provide clear memory button. everytime u click on that button ur memory will be clean up by around 30 40 mb memory each time. I wonder that each n every time when i click on that button [after few mintues] RAM memory got cleaned up by some amount. Bt the question is not a single application is running then also it allws me to clean up the meory and so it does every time.. and after cleaning up showing the message 12 13 application close. how dat possible as no application is running status shown in active application bar.
