Does this phone has a standard (3.5 mm) headphone jack?

Yes, the phone does have a 3.5 mm jack. I would recommend the Admire reason been is that the processor is 800 MHZ compare to the Optimus which is 600MHZ and it has a newer Android Platform then the Optimus. Admire has the 2.3 Ginger Bread and the Optimus has a 2.2 Operating System. The screen is also a little bigger on the Admire.

Me too I was actually going to buy the Optimus M. my brother has it and it is A LOT faster then my 528MHz Huawei Ascend. I decided to buy this one cuz Samsung is off price 4 a limited time at MetroPCS.

Go for the Admire. It's pretty good...but beware poor battery life....
