I like this phone because it is very compact in size and still offers most features you need. Outstanding are the gps navigation capabilities. The Ovi maps application with the fully featured driving and walking navigation is really awesome! There are a few decent applications around with Sportstracker that can gps track your sports exercises being my favourite.
For occasional surfing this phone is sufficient, just besure to install Opera mini / Opera mobile that offer a lot better browsing than the default browser. The screen is a bit small and longer browsing sessions can be a little eye straining. The voice quality is good, but the counterpart usually complains about the background noise being to loud.
Symbian is most likely not the best mobile OS around, but being a longterm Nokia user I have gotten used to their menu structure and I find it highly practical for non-touchscreen phones!

its the cheapest series in which one could get almost all the parameters of a smartphone. though the camera is only 3.2 mp but the pic quality is very nice. it supports a lot of soft wares. Battery life is amazing, one may not need to recharge in 3-3.5 days.

Excellent phone for its price

As the title says, its excellent. If you need a smartphone, with a basic App store (Ovi Store), this is the right fone for you.. Everything essential in a smartphone is included. As long as you don't need WiFi, you'll be happy. If you don't need a smartphone, the Nokia C3 Touch and Type is an excellent alternative. It come with a touchscreen, wifi, Classic look and a 5mp cam with LED flash.

Build quality 8/10
Overall excellent build, and pleasing to the eye. I'm removing 2 marks because the screen is horrible. Its a cheap plastic that bends in alot, and the metal battery cover is a bit loose.
Reception 8/10
Call quality 7/10
Decent call qaulity. Other peoples voices sound a bit hollow and fuzzy. My voice sounds relatively clear, but a bit tinny.
Internet 6/10
Installing Oper Mini will greatly improve your internet experience, trust me. But honestly, without WiFi, you won't be able to surf for too long without incurring heavy data charges. Also, the tiny and cheap screen ruins the whole experience either way.
Multimedia 7/10
As long as you only download LOW qaulity videos in 3GP or MP4 format, you'll have no trouble watching videos. Standard Music player here. Nothing too special.
Camera 7/10
Camera is decent for 3.2mp. Not the best, not the worst. The tiny LED flash is surprisingly powerful. Can be used as a flashlight. Video and Pictures taken are good enough for watching on the phone.
UI speed 8/10
Packing a whopping 600mhz proccesor makes sure there is barely any lag in anything you do. Its the same speed as a midrange android smartphone. Excellent speed.
Everyday usage 8/10
Use as a phone? Texting and calling os easy. Music listening and basic picture taking is also great.
Text input 9/10
Did I mention how GREAT THE KEYPAD IS? Giant keys with great fell and click make sure that you will be able to type really fast and accurately too.
Display 6/10
I Have been bashing the display the entire review. Its so tiny its hard to even want to watch videos or browse the web on it. Even most Nokia dumbphones have the same display. It could at least have been made at 2.4" and put closer to the top of the phone, instead of sitting deep inside the phone. And it wouldn't cost Nokia more than 2 cents to make the creen 0.2" bigger. Seriously, this is the phones major downfall.
Battery 9/10
It lasts me 4 days on one charge on moderate usage.

Pros

  • Great build qaulity
  • Symbian is still good for DPADs
  • Ovi Store is growing
  • Decent camera
  • GPS
  • 3G
  • Excellent battery life.

Cons

  • HORRIBLE DISPLAY
  • No WiFi
