Experience with nokia 2700

Wonderful mobile...... Every thing is fine. But i think Nokia wants to fit more and more features in it at this price... Now I want to share where this phone needs to have changes or you can say not up to mark.
1. Camera is average... but if you comapre 2 megapixel cam with sony ericsson or samsung then it fails but if compared with other brands like spice, micromax then it is better.
2. No USB charging, A great lack in it... while my previous mobile(sony ericsson) supports it.
3. You cant minimize any java application, while Sony and others brand supports it.
4. Operating system is S40, so no advance software you can install in it.
5. Fm reception is not good. As in comparison with my Sony Ericsson w200i
6. I always miss volume inc./dec. buttons at the edges in this mobile.
6. Sound is very less,and gives some buzzy noise during play of any audio or video file.
7. After software update, Nokia has also removed option of screen saver, which i miss lot.
8. Keypad is very hard. It feels me like i am pressing an old typing machine of 80's.
9. Does'nt play mp4 file a great loss.
But,,,,, overall this mobile is good and you will happy with its good battery Backup, Bright display, Integrated opera browser and Edge in it.

 I have a Nokia 2700, too. I like this phone, because it has a very good design, long battery, wide screen and a loud speaker. It was my 5th phone and I'm very happy about it. Now I have a new phone it's a Sony Ericsson Satio. Satio is a mobile King!!! But I am missing my Nokia 2700.

I bought my Nokia 2700 classic handset in August 2009. Voice quality problems started rather soon after purchase. There was slight scratching and broken voice in both incoming and outcoming voice quality. The phone also felt hot in the pocket at times, obviously when it contacted the network. Then memory card holder broke and I took the phone back to dealer. First service round took four weeks after which, memory card holder was repaired but voice quality problems continued. I sent the phone to service again, after another two weeks in service it was exactly as before, they just had updated the software, which they already did in the first round. After third service round and in total 10 weeks without a phone I paid for, Nokia swapped my phone to a new one. I talked to warranty department in Finland and they did not take any responsibility just quoting the service matters being service internal issue and not offering any compensation fro the unjustified long service time and poor customer service. I was happy with my replacement phone one evening, the it clitched, display went white and after removing battery it was stone dead. Back to the dealer and fourth service round, this time lasting two weeks only. I received my third Nokia 2700 classic today, warranty department does not answer my call requests any more. Hope the quality has experienced a quantum leap between my second and third phone but am afraid the farce will go on. You can probably independently decide...

2700 review

this one is bad .... no match for  samsung metro , the only point where it scores over the  metro is a good batteryconsthe bundled  earphone is bad. gives below standard music........hurray it has nokia maps .... but it wont work without  the coupling of an additional accessory  of the nokia gps  device which costs additional  5000 rs or 100$ you cant download google maps and install it in your  mobile . because it wont work on  your s40 device... :)90% of the symbian applications wont work on your nokia 2700 , 6303 or 6700 mobile ( they work on only series 60 system).......so basically u are just stuck with a good looking phone .... take care ..........bad  keypad (  not durable keypad) ,samsung is 16 m colors nokia only 262000 col , and its key pad seems better just match the two specifications yu   will see the huge diff .......the size is huge ....... you wont  feel like watching any movie in the video player ....  due to lack of resolution no data cable ..... bad earphones ..... the worst part is that  the  cable is CA101 , ITS NOT MENTIONED IN THE NOKIA WEBSITE ( 12/2009)the menu systems , organiser and over layout is good you can synchonise  outlook ovi mail and a lot other applications ..... games are good ... speaker phone and muffled it has nokia life tools , i  think i quite good for farmers  ... it has a lot of tools which are extremely helpful to farmersgives...

Pros

• looks good, good for a gift for girl friends who like phone which look good ... , average camera , good menu system, outlook synchronisation etc , very very good battery............... thats the only saving grace .....

Cons

• bad speakers , earphone , bad movie screen playback ( has bad resolution ), very low ringtone .

excellent mobile phone again by the world most trusted co. nokia
i think his mobile phone is the true value for money . many feature at so low cost really a miracle

• 6)spacious key pad to write msg speedily

• 9)good battery lasts for 4 days

Cons

• no night mode
• its hard to find out cons in this mobile .
