Good 7

Basic Phone

MarioQP has owned it for more then one year before publishing this review

This is a very basic phone, perfect for the essentials (SMS, calls, phonebook). It's durable, but the keypad is fragile. The best thing is the flashlight, and the sound. I've used by two years and still working.

Poor 4

Ringtones

It declares it has "Polyphonic and Mp3 ringtones", however the instruction booklet does not explain anything about them.

Nice phone, but died after four months of very light use

Nice phone, good sound, super light. Nice flashlight function. Only problem is is died after four months, less than 20 hours of use. Maybe the charging circuit based on web postings. Planning on buying another and seeing what happens.

Pros

• Cheap, light weight, flashlight, timed silent mode, vibrate/silent

Cons

• Stopped working after less than four hours use.

The flashlight is nice!

Great basic phone  and the flashlight is really handy.  Cost me only 19.95 WITHOUT A CONTRACT!  Just buy it as a prepay and put your sim card in it or if you need a sim card as well, just call t-mobile on anouther phone and give them the sim card number and they can put it on your acount!

Pros

• Great value!
• Good sound, including on speakerphone
• Flashlight is handy

Cons

• really basic phone, but at $19.95, what do you expect

Good Value for Money

Unfortunatelly my regular cell phone broke down. I sent it to be repaired and started looking for a reliable budget substitution. Nokia 1208 appeared to be a very good device. It's ergonomic. Its sound quality is very good. Its battery is perfect. And dust-proof keys are also good and convenient. It does not have a lot of features, of course. But all the necessary ones are on board.
I am going to use it as a reserve cell phone. But it looks like this phone can be recommended in many other cases as well.

Nokia 1208

Basic entry-level GSM phone. Feature set not too bad. User friendly and functionality is very good.
