wifi xoom sim card slot

i picked up my wifi only xoom yesterday and as i was looking it over and i noticed a sim card slot as well as the micro sd slot and i was wondering if a little hacking would make this be able to work with att or verizons networks????

Was wondering the same thing. I think the Wifi version has a radio which is currently disabled. Also think we will be offered the possibility to unlock the radio with a firmware update by paying a fee (voucher etc)
