4G LTE does not work

So the the last 2months ive been unable to keep my Droid Bionic connected to 4G here in Portland, Oregon. I got the Bionic at release and I had zero problem until just the last 2 months

I have gotten a new phone from Verizon(referb), and same result.
ALSO, my wife has a Bionic as well and her phone is having the same issue.
Today i went to verizon and got new 4G sim cards and.. on demand the problem happened again. thankfully while we were still at the counter.

So what i was told from the guy behind the counter, after he "went to talk to his manager". Was that this is a "known issue" with the Bionic and that within a week an update should be out to fix our problem. AND if it doesnt fix the problem that we are to come back and get a different phone free of charge. But it would reset our 2year upgrades, which i am due for in november....

any other Bionic users having this issue???
Im having to just set it for CDMA and use 3g and wifi when at home.
