How to set ringtones for contacts

Just got the phone, says you can set ringtones for each contact but everything i have tried to will not let me do that. Any one have any thoughts?

Maybe I shouldn't own an android. I am in the 30 day period before I can return my new LG Genesis. I actuallly like it for many of the features and feel it has more to offer than ...
