See the "features" section of the review of the phone on this site, here's the link:http://www.phonearena.com/htmls/LG-Cosmos-VN250-Review-review-r_2421-p_2.html. There is no music player but that section will give you a work-around.

For those songs were purchased from iTunes, you can transfer them to a computer that is authorized for your Apple ID because they should be linked to your iTunes account.
For other songs were not purchase from iTunes, iTunes won’t help you. But you can still transfer them to computer with the help of 3-rd party software.

Yes yo can play the music on the Cosmos. simply download the driver for your phone on your computer and you can send music rite to the phone. Beware!!!! Make sure you have a Mem card for the phone or you will take up all the phones mem. it took me almost a week to figure this all out. when all is said and done open up the menu click on media center and then tones and tunes, then my ringtones. this is not a music player but you can still play all music from here. I hope this helps you.

I believe I Heard something about transfer from one phone to another Using a Micro SD Card from a phone with a music player to a phone without a music player so you are able to play music on it with the card attached.. NOTE: The more space a MICRO SD holds the higher the price...

The LG Cosmos will play MP3 and several other file formats for ring tones and sound (via the phone's basic no frills Media Center audio player). What you need is a microSD card and format that card in the phone for starters. To format the microSD card, on the phone, select "Menu --> Settings & Tools --> 0. Memory --> 3. Card Memory --> Options --> 1. Format" to begin the format procedure. After formatting the card there will be four folders created (and accessible by the phone) those folders are called; "contact", "my_pix", "my_ringtones", and "my_sounds". Once the card has been formatted you can transfer media one of two ways. One is to download and install the ""LG USB Modem Driver" from LG (see this link:http://www.lg.com/us/mobile-phones/mobile-support/mobile-lg-outlook-sync.jsp for a link to download the USB driver) and then connect the phone to the computer with a USB cable and enable the phone's USB Mass Storage mode. Enable this mode by selecting, on the phone, "Menu --> Settings & Tools --> 3. Tools --> *. USB Mass Storage". The other way is to remove the microSD card from the phone and insert it into an appropriate card reader for the PC/Mac. The computer will then recognise the card as a removable drive/card. Then you can transfer over the pictures, ring tones, sound (your music) and vCard contacts to their appropriate folders on the microSD card with Windows Explorer (or its counterpart on a Mac). When finished put the card back into the phone or end the USB Mass Storage mode. Files format supported by phone (may not be a complete list): My Pictures: png, jpg, bmp, gif My Sounds: mp3, mid, qcp, acc, aac+ My Ringtones: mid, midi, qcp, pmd, aac, mp3, wav Once the media has been added to the microSD card there they can be viewed or played from the microSD card by the phone's Media Center's Tunes & Tones, and Pictures menu options. There is NO NEED to copy the ringtones, sound, and pictures from the microSD card to the phone to play/view them. The sound will only play, there is no option to pause, rewind or fast forward the sound/ring tones. Only the vCard files must be copied from the card to the phone for the phone to list it as a Contact in the contact list on the phone. Also the phone will support syncing the Contact and Calender items from Microsoft Outlook on a PC. See this LG link:http://www.lg.com/us/mobile-phones/mobile-support/mobile-lg-outlook-sync.jsp for more information on the sync with Outlook option.

@ bennor- I don't care to use MS Outlook, can you explain how to copy the vCard file from the microSD to the phone. I've searched but not come up with anything. I'm finding out LG is very poor in documentation. I have seen that some LG phones use a particular vCard format, don you have know ledge of that also. TIA

I have followed the instructions to format the microSD Card, and get a message to enter the Phone Lock Code at the Format prompt. I have no idea what code has been assigned. Please enlighten.

The Phone Lock Code should be the last four digits of your phone number. I don't remember if I got that message when I formated my microSD card.

I have done everything in the order requested and I am still unable to access the actual music on the phone. The SD card's memory indicates that the music is there, I just can't figure out how to listen to it. Any ideas?

You may have to convert your music files. All my files were in .wma which wouldn't play so I converted them to .mp3. There are plenty of free converters if yuou don't already have one. Good luck (:

I just got my phone this weekend and was a little worried about transferring music since I have a Mac. I used the instructions that bennor provided to a tee and the music transferred beautifully. I can listen, go forward & reverse while listening to my music on the music player. I believe it said my music was mp4a while transferring(?) I think that Formatting the SD card was the key. It set up the folders on the card like he said it would and then I dropped and dragged my music from Itunes into the my music folder on the micro SD card. Put the card back in to my phone and went to the my music file and there it was! THANKS!!! It worked for my pictures too!

Gnach, once the vCard files are loaded to the microSD card's "contact" folder and the card has been inserted into the phone. Navigate to Settings & Tools --> 0. Memory --> 3. Card Memory --> 5. My Contacts. On the My Contacts - Card screen will be listed the vCard entries. you can then select Move, the select Mark to select each contact to transfer, then hit Done, which will transfer/move the file from the SD card to the phone. This process will delete the entry on the SD card. You can also select Options which will allow you to Copy or Erase the contact entry on the SD card. From the Phone's Contacts list you can copy contacts back over to the SD card if needed. To do a mass move of vCard files you can select 6. Move All To Phone from the Card Memory menu. This however will transfer all pictures, ringtones, sounds and contacts from the SD card to the phone.
