phone lights up often all day long

this aggravating piece of junk turns on randomly thru out the day and night with the "browse and download" screenlit. Battery dead many mornings because the screen is lit so much. Many calls to Verizon and visits to store with no help. Even a new phone not help. Adjusting settings not help. I'm done. Any ideas.

I have the same thing TOO I hate that it wants me to go to daily scoop and Browse & Download. it is annoying! It also is at backup assistant :(
