1GB Internal Rom - WTF?

Why do they ruin these almost perfect phones??? 1Gb of internal disk space is absolutely useless. You're left with 2 or 300mb of space which will be quickly eaten by cache. Good luck installing your apps. Anything that needs a widget won't run on the external memory, and the external memory is slooooooow even for apps that don't need a widget. Why? Why? Why?
The Galaxy S 4G, The Sidekick 4G, and now this. Something's going on here.

Really? Why do you need more than 1 Gb internal memory unless you plan on installing a couple hundred apps? I've got the myTouch 4G (another 1 Gb internal memory phone) with CyanogenMod 7.0.3 installed with about 15 apps installed and I'm sitting at 0.97 Gb.

It's true. I had a Vibrant. 16 GB internal memory plus card. I installed TONS of apps, hardly used my laptop. Then I ordered Galaxy 4g, ostensibly Samsung's upgrade of Vibrant. Imagine my surprise to find 2 lousy gigs of storage. Still not enuff.
Douchebags must've saved 72 cents per unit.

I'm not someone who would download a ton of apps, but 1GB internal stinks. I returned mine for different reasons, but that's pretty much a joke in this day and age of dirt-cheap flash.

If you install your apps on your SD card and save your downloads there 1GB is absolutely perfect. I am still using the 8GB card that it came with and have 6GB left. i have about 30 apps installed and about 2GB of music and pics. with a 32GB SD card this phone is an absolute POWERHOUSE.
