WIMAX

Hello i am whit tmobile now, i will like to know if i go to sprint the WIMAX on the evo 3D say 14mbs but if sprint upgrade the WIMAX to 20 or 40 mbs do i need to change the phone or because WIMAX is working as WIFI network i will be able to get 20-40 mbs

no you will not need to upgrade your phone, WiMax and WiMax2 are exactly the same its just a software upgrade. but what worries me is that if sprint decides to switch from wimax to LTE. what will happen to all of the wimax phones?

Uhh no it doesn't. Verizon uses LTE towers too. Do you see them with simcards?

Verizon LTE phones do use a SIM card. LTE is GSM based and uses a special SIM to access the LTE network. It uses CDMA for talk at the current time, This is how the Thunderbolt can talk and surf while on the phone. CDMA does not support this feature. In the future both Voice and Data will use LTE virtually making CDMA an ancient technology. I agree with johnny appleseed. Research before you post invalid information.
