One of the best Android device not even phone iv'e ever used with no Lag or glitch issue like other Android devices. Really smooth and fast the games performance even better than my previous note 2 and S3, I used the before the galaxy nexus and it's pure crap specially in terms of performance.

Best Android I've used so far, but not as good as the 920

brandencarroll has owned it for less than 3 months before publishing this review

Let me first say, I buy and sell phones for a living and I have played with every flagship phone out there that is available to the public. So I do have a good background to compare these phones. That being said the Nexus 4 is the best droid (in my opinion) I've ever used. It fits in the hand much better than the S3 and I feel it's much more agile than the S3, which may be due to its quad core processor. It feels nice in the hand and it's buttery smooth compared to other droids I've handled. Google Now is a major sale point to me, if you haven't used it, it basically tells you what's going on around you that you probably didn't know was going on (i.e I'm going to attend a free jazz concert this wednesday thanks to google now) and also updates your gps with live traffic updates. I am GROSSLY upset with the quality of the rear 8MP camera. It's garbage. I upload many pictures of other phones with my phone camera and all of the pictures I have taken usually end up fuzzy and the camera has a very hard time auto focusing. Coming from my lumia 920 it's like scratching a chalkboard with your nails, it's almost unbearable. I swear I have taken better pictures on a 5MP camera. In general I grow more and more disappointed with Android because it has so many little issues that everyone has come to accept. I do NO web surfing with my phone to prevent anything harmful that may come from websites, yet my phone will just freeze up (only 3-4 times so far in a 3 month time span) and...

Cons

  • Camera is the WORST 8MP I've ever used
  • Android seems very messy compared to the windows platform
  • External speaker is quite silent

The daddy of androids..!

R-vjn has owned it for less than month before publishing this review

I would like to start writing this review by saying that this phone is

just epic..! Its the smoothest, fastest and sexiest phone I've ever

used, felt or seen in my life..!

Built quality, design and display - Amazingly built, and never feels

like its built to a price. Feels super premium in your hand and also to

look at, and the mysterious all black front is just epic and not to

forget the sparkling back which will catchs a lot of attention.
The display is just beautiful. Being a photographer myself, I always

loved natural looking displays and have always been fan of LG's IPS

panels and the IPS panel in this Nexus edition by LG doesn't disappoint

me one bit. The colors are natural looking, but a bit more saturation

could have made it a bit better but its nothing to complain about.

Call quality & reception - Never had any drop calls or distortions

while calling. This is as good as it can get, and no complains here.

Performance - Ohhh myyy goddd, this phone is the smoothest, fastest

mobile device I've used in my entire life. The best thing is that the

framerates while scrolling and every single transition in the phone is

just beautiful and simple. I'm totally in love and I being a purist,

sort of, I don't think I'm gonna use a custom UI.
This phone can handle anything you throw at it, be it full HD videos

(mind the supported formats), or any games in the android app market

and this wont ever disappoint you, guarenteed.
Being a Nexus, pure android...

There are a few things that aren't tens, but it's a 9.5 phone overall. The screen has a weird gradient that took me aback at first but I got used to it. After that the battery can always be better. I love this phone.

My Best Phone Yet

dbareis has owned it for less than month before publishing this review

I have had all or parts of the screen flash a few times (killing the app and restarting it seems to fix). I believe this to be software, whether Android or app incompatibility I don't know. Not happy that Google did such a shoddy job of selling them and that their store said "coming soon" for 2+ months).

Build quality 10/10
Reception 10/10 GPS gets lots of satellites and gets a fix every quickly. WI-FI reception is better than my previous GNEX.
Call quality 10/10
Internet 10/10
Multimedia 10/10
Camera 8/10 Bit slow in low light
UI speed 10/10 Very quick, I suspect mainly as its got 2GB RAM, my minimum must have spec for any new phone (I do have a lot of apps installed).
Everyday usage 10/10 Love the phone, best yet.
Text input 9/10 I replace the keyboard with either Swype or am currently trying Flow.
Display 9/10 Can seem a bit washed out on some screens, I suspect the colors were chosen for AMOLED screens.
Battery 8/10 Its better than my GNEX, give me a fatter phone with a bigger battery anytime.

Pros

  • Its a NEXUS (easy to root, quick OTA updates).
  • Very fast.
  • Stock Android, easy to add anything missing with apps from Play store.

Cons

  • Don't like the idea of a glass back.
  • Only 16GB and no SDCARD.
  • I'd like it bigger (Galaxy Note size).
  • The notification light a bit small and dim, harder to see than the one on the Galaxy Nexus

The phone is awesome when it comes to size, performance, design, and other aspects that are expected to compete with the Samsung S III or the HTC One X. My only complaint is the camera is a little underpar in some ocassions (i.e. when light is poor, when background is too bright, etc)

Is Neuxs 4 phone of the year 2013?

AJ2012 has owned it for less than 3 months before publishing this review

Majority of the people have been taken by surprise by LG Nexus 4, as no one was expecting this exceptional build qualities from a Google/LG phone! Google made it sure that no official site is selling this phone for more that £399.00, except for Ebay, where it's price has been stabalised to £360.00 max, otherwise it could have been well over £500.00!
Feeling wise I've not come across a phone as good as Nexus 4, except for Nokia Arte 8800! which was very pricy.
I'm using Galaxy S3 LTE, Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4 at this moment, find myself in very fortunate.
It will be extremely hard for Google to come with a phone better that Nexus 4 next up!!!

Build quality 8/10 I'm giving it an 8 only because the fear that comes with it, of dropping and breaking it! therefoe I have to use acase, which spoils half the feeling of it, otherwise it's a 10!
Reception 10/10 No complains as it's very stable as expected!
Call quality 10/10 It's call quality is very loud and clear!
Internet 10/10 Very fast web browsing and easu to read!
Multimedia 10/10 As good as Nexus Galaxy!
Camera 10/10 This is where this phone is way better than Galaxy Nexus!
UI speed 10/10 Simply it's extremely fluid, as good as Galaxy S3 LTE!
Everyday usage 10/10 It's really a pleasure to pick it up every time and use it!
Text input 10/10
Display 10/10 Wonderful!
Battery 10/10 I had to do some tweaks and now it a full day easily

Pros

  • Price, Design, Speed, UI, Timely Google updates

Cons

  • it's pro could be it's con: Glass body

The Future of Android

rdeleonp has owned it for less than month before publishing this review

It amuses me to see both the HTC One X+ and the HTC DNA presented as "alternatives" to the Google Nexus 4. Make no mistake, there is *no other phone* that presents Android's True Colors as the Google Nexus 4. It provides instant protection against quick obsolescence thanks to it's combination of cutting-edge hardware and software. Amazing developer community support is the cherry on top of this delicious cake. Do yourself a favor and buy only Nexus devices from now on. You'll be a happier person. As to why I call it Google's phone instead of LG's, well, it's because LG is to Google as Foxconn is to Apple. This *is* Google's phone because it *is* Google's vision of what an Android phone *should* be. Bless their geeky brains...

Build quality 10/10 The phone feels premium. Anyone who's been using Android devices for a while will immediately notice this device was designed with love.
Reception 10/10 Really good. No droped calls.
Call quality 10/10 Crystal clear voice quality.
Internet 10/10 Local provider only supports crappy 3 mbps "HSDPA+"' so not much to says here...
Multimedia 10/10 Chews on audio, movies and games like there's no tomorrow.
Camera 8/10 I've seen better, but it gets the job done.
UI speed 10/10 The very definition of smoothness.
Everyday usage 10/10 Fast, Fluid, Fun! Loving every day I use this phone.
Text input 10/10 Just perfect.
Display 10/10 High resolution, high PPI, vivid colors, excellent viewing angles.
Battery 9/10 I was surprised to see it was really good

Pros

  • Fast CPU + GPU combo
  • Lots of RAM
  • Great Screen
  • Super Smooth Everything
  • Pure Android Experience
  • Price

Cons

  • Size of internal storage

AMAZING PHONE!!!

cellophone has owned it for less than 3 months before publishing this review

I've had this phone for just over a month and every time i use it, it never ceases to amaze me! I bought it through the Google Play Store but am still using T-Mobile and it was a great decision! Android 4.2 Jellybean is great with lots of new improvement (coming from Android 2.3 Gingerbread). The build quality is stunning and the design on the back is stunning! Great phone would recommend it to anyone!

Build quality 9/10 Great build quality, the only minor complaint is the lock and volume keys feel a bit plasticy-er than I would like. Also what ever happened to micro-SD slots? They are still "in" dont take them out!
Reception 10/10 Awesome on T-Mobile as I would assume on any carrier.
Call quality 10/10 Awesome!
Internet 10/10 Data speeds are great! I cant even tell the difference between HSPA+ and LTE, both are plenty fast in my book! The huge 4.7 inch screen makes web browsing a pleasure!
Multimedia 10/10 Music player is great, sounds great, looks great.
Camera 9/10 Great camera especially with new Photosphere feature. Small complaint is there is no burst shot.
UI speed 10/10 Quad-coure processor... need I say more?
Everyday usage 10/10 Worth every penny (I payed $400).
Text input 10/10 May be an onscreen keyboard but due to its large size, text input is a breeze! Also the added gesture feature is just an added bonus.
Display 10/10 Great screen! Many of my close friends have iPhones with Retina screens and honestly I think the screens are equal if not better on the Nexus 4 because colors appear more realistic.
Battery 9/10 Great for a phone, could be better.

Pros

  • Google - fast Android updates
  • Quad-core Processor
  • Gorgeous 4.7 inch display
  • Vanilla Android - I am a big fan of TouchWiz and Sense 4.0 but ain't nothing like pure Vanilla

Cons

  • Little things like those stated above but easily able to look over.

I love this phone, its super fast and there's so much new and cool things with jelly bean....but of recently I've seen some bugs. While charging in the wall outlet it says charging USB, that's not too bad of a problem though, the real issue comes with the camera app, it used to work fine until recently now it won't open at all, it keeps saying cannot connect to camera idk if this is a phone related issue or a jelly bean one, but it is really frustrating.
