Description

Asus Fonepad is an affordable 7" Android Jelly Bean tablet with 3G voice and mobile data that place a smartphone in it. The kinky thing about the slate is that it is not powered by an ARM processor, but the new Intel Atom Z2420 with full Android compatibility and good balance of performance and energy efficiency, that allows up to nine hours of battery life during hardware-accelerated 1080p Full HD video decoding. It has a front 1.2-megapixel camera for easy video chat and ASUS SonicMaster audio technology with MaxxAudio 3 processing by Waves ensures clear, well-rounded sound quality. The 7" screen features 1280 x 800 HD resolution for crisp, and its IPS technology ensures nice colors with 178-degree wide viewing angles, and sufficient outdoor brightness.

  • Technology:

Technology - There are two main screen technologies currently used in phones and tablets: LCD and AMOLED. The former usually features a light source and liquid crystals, while the latter is based on organic light-emitting diodes. Newer LCD variations like IPS-LCD and Super-LCD allow for very accurate color reproduction and very wide viewing angles, where no significant image quality loss is observed. Current AMOLED screens differ in such a way that they can exhibit much more saturated colors (sometimes too much) and incredibly high contrast levels, which is due to black color being completely black in AMOLED displays.
