webOS 2.0 update for existing Palm handsets delayed until early 2011
A message posted on O2 Germany's official Twitter account says that the already-released Palm handsets won't receive the webOS 2.0 update that Palm Pre 2 users are already enjoying in Europe (it's scheduled for Q4 release on Verizon) until "Q1 of 2011".

That's somehow disappointing, since the rumours were that the Palm Pre, as well as the Pixi and Plus models are all set to get webOS 2.0, but now it seems that this is not going to be the case.

On a more positive note, a source from "private forums" claims there is every chance for the first generation Palm phones to leapfrog the web OS 2.0 version and directly receive webOS 2.1. Sadly, no timescale for this was given, so all we can do is wait and hope.
