myTouch Slide gets snapped
A tipster for web site Droiddeveloper has sent them pictures of the upcoming myTouch Slide for T-Mobile. Actually, the device has a few names as it will also answer to the HTC Espresso, and myTouch2. Equipped with a landscape sliding QWERTY keyboard, the Android flavored phone features a display with a 320 x 480 resolution, a 3.5mm audio jack,  camera with LED flash, and an external microSD slot that works by pushing in to insert and pushing in to remove. Can someone say "Hot Swappable"? The ARM11 processor is in use here and you might have noticed the optical trackpad replacing a trackball. Pricing and launch date are unknown, but we would expect with these photos being leaked, it shouldn't be too long before it is launched.

Whats up with that processor? Must be a mid-level phone not to compete with the Nexus or Droid or anything

if it had a D-pad like the cliq and sidekick, this would be a cool phone for playing roms!.......and this is totally off this phone topic.... anyone know if the mytouch will get sense. htc just released the rom for magic. would that be compatible for the mt3g?

what a let down. Id rather have a sidekick than this. if they would have just slimmed down the G1 a bit... I would have even liked that more. But this form factor is getting played out.

Its nice but it looks like the samsung moment or whatever its called. It will fill an important niche of peeps who want a keyboard but don't want all the noise of motoblur. That and the badly needed flash..lol
