If you already know about the savings one would expect by replacing a traditional land line with magicJack, then you’re already seeing more cash in your pockets. Now that same device is going to be integrated with mobile phones thanks to a new femtocell that’ll allow you to use your cell phone and place calls through magicJack’s “Voice Network” – as opposed to your carrier’s voice minutes. With a low cost cutting price of $20 per year for the service, users just need to walk within 8 feet of the femtocell to initiate – from there; you’ll be able to walk within a 3000 square foot house. This unnamed femtocell aims promises to work with any GSM phones – surprisingly, it’ll even work with those that don’t have active service through a carrier. Pricing for this device is still not known, but it’s expected for existing subscribers to get a first hand taste.

would that mean that if i have a gsm phone laying around but it currently doesnt have service that i can make as many phone calls as i want for just 20/yr plus the price of the femtocell?
