This is what we call a foregone conclusion, "more iphones are sold when there are more places to buy them", ya dont say!! Pointless dribble, how about a modicum of repect for your supposed profession sirs?

This needs to hurry up and happen, so at&t can get an adroid phone- something Hero-esque

16. iberrystorm posted on 01 Sep 2009, 15:14

there going to get the htc landcaster or something, hero, dont think so, because they dont deserve it.

28. behold--me posted on 01 Sep 2009, 18:57

actually they just had an article not long ago about how at t rejected the lancaster or some other android device. and i think that they should put this on t-mo bcuz at t is similar in bandwith

no, i thought the article said about a motorolla phone or something.

I don't think that it would be fair for AT&T to be able to extend their exclusivity deal with Apple for the iPhone, while they HOG Verizon's BB Storm 2 as well. If Apple does decide to extend the deal. I mean, I could care less if iPhone came to Verizon or not, I am just arguing that it's not fair that AT&T gets their cake and eat someone else's as well. VZW BB Storm 2 and Sprint Palm Pre FTW! :]

10. iberrystorm posted on 01 Sep 2009, 14:54

i know, verizon was stuck with a buggy phone at first and now, a new one comes out, and att wants a piece of that glory. if apple says yes to this contract thing, we probably wont see it on verizons network ever...

22. Fanboys Suck posted on 01 Sep 2009, 16:51

I'm sorry if you guys are all in favor of this crap that exclusivity deal are not "fair", but what it comes down to is business. These are companies that are in to make money from products and services they sell. There is nothing wrong for a company to have exclusive rights with another one because they paid for it. It is like saying you want to only fly on Boeing planes, but your favorite airline doesn't use Boeing jets. Then, you get mad because your favorite airline doesn't use Boeing, so you start blaming other airlines for their greed and hogging all the Boeing Jets in the world. Then you think you are "forced" to use a different airline just to fly on a Boeing. Companies make contract deals. It is as simnple as that. Stop being so butt-hurt over exclusive rights. Most companies have exclusivities.

30. iberrystorm posted on 01 Sep 2009, 19:09

so i guess its a matter of survival. everyone for theselves, if a company wants a iphone, no, make the agreement longer. the other company is getting a new phone. sell it for yourself. att will take it all out until the end

4. denmcdon posted on 01 Sep 2009, 14:22

Who cares..... more happening in the cellphone world thats more interesting than the iphone coming to more carriers.WTF:(

5. Mateo8326 posted on 01 Sep 2009, 14:29

If yall don't know AT&T taking over the world! Nothing fair when those three letters are put 2gether and them hoging the blackberry storm 2 was a very bold move of them

18. iberrystorm posted on 01 Sep 2009, 15:18

greedy also... att is really greedy, iphone is basiclly the phone keeping them in buisness, without it, they fail. because of that, they want to keep their best phone as long as they can, and get some of the best phones from verizon so they can get more buisness. yet when verizon want to get the iphone, "Lets EXTEND THIS CONTRACT APPLE" basiclly like that

6. Mateo8326 posted on 01 Sep 2009, 14:31

On top of that Money talks i'm sure apple would stay with AT&T for the right price.

42. YouLostTheGame posted on 01 Sep 2009, 23:03

That "right price" would have to astronomical in order for Apple to make up what they could potentially gain by opening their phone(s) up to other companies. I agree with the dude in the article. Mark my words, by this time next year, other cell companies here in the states will have the iPhone or something like it.

49. Mateo8326 posted on 02 Sep 2009, 21:03

yeah they will have something like it.

7. asears08 posted on 01 Sep 2009, 14:32

Just release the thing on all carriers and get it over with. It being on ATT is what stopped me from getting one. Make it available on sprint and Im all over it.

19. iberrystorm posted on 01 Sep 2009, 15:21

rather get a palm pre dude, if you have the money, ipod touch 2nd gen/3rd (maybe coming out later) and a palm pre. because thats basically a iphone.

25. realism121 posted on 01 Sep 2009, 17:09

yeah, but why have 2 devices...i'm TOTALLY with asears08...if the iphone was on sprint i would buy it full price if i had to. i'm pretty certain the iphone will never be on sprint though...

27. iberrystorm posted on 01 Sep 2009, 18:18

well, if you have 2 great devices on hand, you can show them both off?

46. asears08 posted on 02 Sep 2009, 03:03

I agree, it will never happen, but I can dream. And to iberrystorm, I just went with the BB Tour over a pre. I really like the software but the current hardware doesnt do much for me, particularly the keyboard. And having somewhat large hands, it just wasnt comfortable hold being so small.
