iPhone-generated internet traffic grew 10% last month
According to a internet browsing statistics by NetApplications, the iPhone is getting even more popular and the number of people using it to surf the Web is rapidly growing. The total amount of iPhone traffic increased 10% over the last month and now makes up 0.33% of planetary internet traffic. To put the figute into perspective, the Apple-made device accounted for as much as 0.14% of total traffic at the end of September last year and if you think 0.33% is an unconvincing figure, keep in mind the total traffic generated by all computers running Linux-based OS on the planet Earth is 1% of the total figure with Mac users responsible for 4.87%. Certainly, Windows continues to hold the traffic lead with the whopping 93% share.

How is this not news? 33% of all data in the globe? That's big. A while ago the iPhone made up 50% of data in the U.S., so that number must be way up right now. And if the iPhone goes on Verizon and Sprint next year, I don't even know what will happen.

Well ok....i concede the point....it may be valid news....valuble for a trivia game perhaps.....

Hmm.. 33% would be sensational news.... According to my calculator (which, granted, runs on a lowly Sony Ericsson C905a dumbphone), 33% is roughly 100 times what was claimed in the article, 0.33%. Then again, numbers, shmumbers... the iPhone is THE gadget that makes you look really unique, cool, and completely not a sheep in the herd, right? Right? Uh..

I was just about to point out the fact the article said 0.33%, not 33%.
