iPhone expected to be graced with its own Netflix app
The launch of the iPad has finally brought on some new beginnings with Netflix subscribers that dreamed of being able to watch its library of streaming movies on a portable device aside from a laptop or netbook. Although iPhone owners have been waiting all along for this to happen, the recent iPad-only app aims to finally turn things around for Apple's long loved product that truly captures the essence of being mobile. Netflix has gone out and confirmed news that every iPhone owner has been waiting for through its official blog online – it simply states, “Steve Swasey, VP of Corporate Communications, here. Terrific response to our news today about Netflix on the iPad. For those of you asking whether Netflix will be on the iPhone and iPod Touch: We wouldn't invite you to dinner without planning to serve dessert. In other words, we're working on it so stay tuned.” We're crossing our fingers and feel quite amused with a release that's probably in line with the next generation iPhone – which is of course expected to become available this summer. Although iPad owners are getting most of their fill through their dinner course, dessert is left for iPhone owners who crave a small piece of that pie.

I would imagine there will be once the HTC Evo 4g comes at at least, it wouldn't make sense to support the iphone and not Android.

it would if you dont see it as lucretive. there are still thousands of app many from big companies that do not support android in the same fashion or at all for that matter.

There has been rumor for a long time that Netflix is working on an app for both WP7 and android. being that android has almost as large a market share as apple now won't be long. The people at Netflix are capitalists they will want there product to cross platforms to reach as many people as possible.
