Wednesday, March 2nd, might be a day like any other for regular folks out there, but it is marked with a smile in the calendar for the Apple aficionado. In an unusual display of openness, the company emailed invitations to press uncovering what we'll see tomorrow – the iPad 2…

Its apple. They will add one or two minor features and fall even further behind. Nothing to see here.

Dont you mean they will add one or two minor features and still rape the shit out of the competition thanks to all the mindless drones?!
4. Kensei (unregistered)
Yep. It will only add a couple of feature as you say, and be successful thanks to the mindless drones that fall for Apple Marketing and buy it cause they are ignorant of what the competition has to offer.
5. matt (unregistered)
Not really . They will add one or two minor features which will be amazing and so clever that every other tech' company will think; Why didn't we come up with that. oh, i know, because they are Apple, and we aren't. :)

Apologies. How could I forget video calling over wifi, cut and paste, and multitasking. Of course Apple invented those.

Actually, some people do know what the competition offers but still choose apple. You know why, because apple products work as they should. I mean the XOOM is nice but it still feels/looks like an unfinished product i.e. micro sd slot not working, have to send it in for LTE upgrade, honeycomb looks a bit unpolished, not too many tablet based apps available, etc...as much as I hate apple fanboys, I still think apple has a leg up on the competition despite it's simplicity. iOS just works as it should and is very polished. I went from the OG Droid, to the Droid Inc., and now to the iPhone 4. And I can honestly say that the iPhone 4 is just a better all around device. I can care less about the 'openness' of android. I can jailbreak if I really wanted to customize it but the iPhone works for me as it is.

My god... This is probably one of the best and most sensible arguments (not to mention extremely true) I've seen on this sight, yet the Android fanboys can't stand it so they have to thumb it down? Really? Apple fanboys vs Android fanboys, the Android fanboys act much more like three-year-olds. I truly look at each side equally but I would be a bit embarrassed to own a product whose main advocates are immature little kids high on their "IQ." There is so such thing as a sane and normal Android user. I know many myself, and yes, they're tech geeks, and yes, they're actually much smarter than the little tykes waving their phones around going, "Look at what I can do with my Android device!" Could we please have less of that?
And now, let the flaming of this comment begin!

If people don't want to see what the competition has to offer or likes apple for whatever reason better than the competition. Let them. OT doesn't effect you at all. You don't get a cut of sales. You don't benefit from seeing one extra person at the doctors with a tab or XOOM. It has nothing to do with you. I'm not promoting apple or android or dissing them. I don't own a tablet or plan to buy one. My windows laptop does what I need. For portability my nexus one handles my work load, my iPhone handles other business. But let people get what they want. Why are you people so worried about what other people want?

I love how people come on here with nothing better to do than complain. You kids are late for school.

Something tells me this iPad 2 is going to shake the tablet world again. Who knows what Apple has in mind. I wouldn't be surprised if all these rumors were proven fake by the announcement tomorrow.

I think that the iPad set the bar for tablets and started them but just like the iPhone i dont think that apple is keeping up with what they started. The iPhone is falling behind too... Why would you want your phone to be a credit card? Thats useless. Facetime was a good thing to add. To go from facetime to something as useless as an NPC reader is stupid. Then they are basically the last one to come out with a new tablet and all they did was add what everyone else already had on their tablets. iPad = WASTE OF MONEY.

Apple was lucky enough to be first. Now the game is much different. To be honest the iPad is just a big ipod touch which isn't a bad thing but nothing more.
I don't think they are going to blow the competition out of the water this year.

then the xoom is just a big ipod knock off since its an ipad knock off. the bottom line is units sold and kept and apple will dominate the bottom line just watch.

Apple always follows the same patterns. The first is like when apple tv came out 3 years ago and was another epic fail that never caught on, like their gaming system and countless other flops. The other pattern is start off strong and within a few years be stuck at 5% market share like their computers.

sounds like u applied at apple and didnt get hired lmao

this is for sure. when the ipad 2 comes out it wont b lacking anything that its supposed to have i.e. flash working sd card slot and 4g. the xoom launched without all those things and no true media ecosystem like itunes thats crap. then u have to send it in for alomst 2 wks to make it 4g puuuuulease. and people wonder y folks flock to apples products. apple may b very strict but what they release always works and thats y apple dominates the bottom line which is units sold and kept. oh did i mention that im a huge android fan that calls it like he see's it. android is awesome but after all this time its still to difficult glitchy laggy and has a mediocre ecosystem for music and media. ios is still far more complete and catered to.

Flash and sd slit are about as probable as it dual booting android. And the XOOM only needs to be sent in for 6 days according to Motorola. That's almost a week. Not 2. But your pretty much right about the rest. Android can be great but has too many flaws. I look forward to honeycomb because it's UI focused. Too bad google didn't completely revamp every aspect of android for 3.0.
