Wohoo, the painful wait is almost over, and now users are about to finally get iOS 7 as a free update for their iPhones, iPads and iPod touches! Apple has promised that it'll release the new version of its mobile OS today (September 18), and while the company hasn't provided a specific time at which the update will go live...

I have more than one phone and one of them is iPhone 5 64GB, but it is not my primary phone. :)

Training Apple users for a living I am always amazed. The article points out backing up but doesn't explain how. Clear advice on this is limited. If you're looking for help 'Understand Apple' on YouTube seems to have all the answers and explain things well.

Me thinks if the user is reading a website like this, they don't need help backing up their phones. I'm not looking forward to the broken phones coming in because they interrupted the process and soft bricked it. I'm hoping there aren't any big bugs with this initial release.

Welcome, iOS users!! Welcome to a mobile OS with quick access to system toggles, the ability to send pictures and some files wirelessly, to have folders with unlimited items inside them, real multi-tasking and the ability to block contacts.
Welcome to Android..... VERSION 1.0! Welcome to Q4 2008 folks!

Ilia1986 stop acting like you don't care. I can do it as well.
Welcome to project butter that shouldn't lag but still does!
Welcome to 6.3 inch phablets with midlevel specs but its called the next big thing!
Welcome to waving my hand above the screen to answer the phone because I'm to busy stuffing my mouth and being touted as innovation!
Welcome to touchwiz that introduces 15 new features(only 1 useful) that all have to be disabled to stop the phone from lagging like 2.3 gingerbread!
Welcome to android 4.4 kitkat, that needs 3 gb of ram and octa core processors to run what the android faithful will call buttery smooth!
Get over it, apple isnt going anywhere and I'm sending this from my jelly bean lg escape, that runs exactly like a optimus g with half the specs!

LMAOOOOO damn Tre. Dude you straight checked his a$$. +127,915 lol.
66. Tre-Nitty (Posts: 461; Member since: 16 Nov 2010)
It is just stupid when ppl jump in threads that have nothing to do with them. Custom rom needed to make the phone run properly. Let it go fila1986, you sound stupid!
76. darkkjedii (Posts: 12568; Member since: 05 Feb 2011)
Dude you're killing him today. Fila1986 lol...I'm lovin it, and he just keeps setting himself up for it.Wowwww...

He's a waste of time. I can't wait until ios7 drops
57. ilia1986 (unregistered)
lol ooh somebody got hurt there, eh?
You see, an Android phone is like a woman - you treat it right - it will treat you right. An iPhone is like a toaster - regardless of what you do - you'l never get anything else. Ever.
Woman > toaster.
Running Galaxy S3 i9300 (1.4Ghz Quad core A9, 1GB Ram) on LiquidSmooth 2.9 (soon to be upgraded to 3.0) Android 4.2.2.
ZERO lag, LOTS of widgets, HALO (the UI feature, not the game), 2 Launchers (flashed a GS4 launcher because I can), AWESOME battery life.
That's a on a 2012 phone. Imagine what I could do with a 2013 flagship - scary. :)
58. Ninetysix (Posts: 1678; Member since: 08 Oct 2012)
You got defective woman broseph.
5,500 posts and counting. I expect iOS 7 to be on 50%+ of iOS devices in less than a week. How long will it take for Android to reach 50% on 4.2.2?

Bought on September 2012. Software patch to fix this "sudden death" was applied long ago. Not that it matters since I'm running a CUSTOM ROM.
I don't care how many iProducts have the latest iOS version. I care that my device does anything I want - without lag, battery issues or any problem at all.
Enjoy your toasters. :)
61. darkkjedii (Posts: 12568; Member since: 05 Feb 2011)
Go to bed troll. No one cares about your custom rom, your mods, and all that lol. Notice you're on an iOS article stirring up hate, dude we know you secretly love iOS, but are afraid the Sammites will sacrifice you for saying so. Post a full review of your 5S on another site and email me the info. That way you still appear to hate apple, while loving it. Enjoy your toasters, how lame was that...
63. ilia1986 (unregistered)
lol whatever you say bro. :)
65. AndroidUserAKAHater (Posts: 2; Member since: 17 Sep 2013)
Yay! Another apple hater!! What are you doing here reading about iOS 7?? Don't you have like a million cool features on your android phone? That should keep you busy?? Wait!? You don't have any friends so you don't anybody to show em off??
77. darkkjedii (Posts: 12568; Member since: 05 Feb 2011)
I think ilia got the hint, and took a nap. He was getting pummeled, he came to this thread specifically to start mess, and Ninteysix gave him the business, then you put the icing on the cake. +1 BTW.
73. exodusmodules (Posts: 4; Member since: 17 Sep 2013)
Android and iOS are both great oses. Android is better for people who like and opened device and iOS is more for people who hear the words "programming language", and have no clue what it means. Now you can be a tech wizard and use iOS, but it's not that fun unless you jailbreak your device, or make your own apps. If Apple were more open-minded, maybe ilia1986 would like iOS. But, that's not the case. When I get my first phone, it will hopefully be a motorola milestone (I'm 14), an Android phone. But, I will continue to support Apple anyway.
78. darkkjedii (Posts: 12568; Member since: 05 Feb 2011)
Ilia used to be an avid iOS user, now he claims he hates it and only uses android. Being an android user is all fine, and dandy nothing wrong with it at all. I'm a big time iOS user, but still love and use a note 2. You will never see me blasting people for their choice of OS though. Now that he no longer uses iOS, he dogs it to no end, and insults its users. C'mon man really???
85. ilia1986 (unregistered)
I think exudumodules sums it up pretty well. At last - a rational thinker here. People who are good with technology will prefer Android. People who aren't - will prefer iOS.
You may think that there is nothing wrong here, right?
It's 2013 people! People who aren't good with technology are either old or unwilling to learn how to handle an essential - yes you heard me - aspect of life.
Why am I here? Because I can type. And because bashing apple gives me so much pleasure - regardless of what anyone here or anywhere else thinks of that. :)
88. Range (Posts: 1; Member since: 17 Sep 2013)
Haha wow.. Tell me what world do you live in exactly? Last time I checked ours was ruled by businessmen and politicians who probably know as much about technology as my mother. Nice try bro but your phone customization skills are no where near as "essential" to succeeding in life as you wish they were. Although I suppose I do need people like yourself when I call customer service..

Bzzzzzzz bzzzzzzzz bzzzzzzzzz swat that fly, oops that's ilia.

Everyone doesn't have time to become a techie. The only reason that I am one is because I've been exposed to computers since I was a wee little guy. I want to go to college to be a programmer after I graduate from High School. But what about someone who needs to, say, turn an assignment in over the internet. Would it be easier to have a simple or complex system? Even though I am good with technology, I still like simplicity.
Sent from my iPad mini heheheh
BTW, I used to bash Apple until I got my hands on the iPad 2. One of the best days of my life.

dang your replying to everyone but i like what your saying though
59. darkkjedii (Posts: 12568; Member since: 05 Feb 2011)
Ilia dude you're getting slain bro. Perhaps you should stop making trouble, log off, get your pacifier and take a nap. Defective woman lol. +1 ninetysix well done.
111. amats69 (Posts: 1129; Member since: 12 Nov 2012)
Don't be a liar dude..your galaxy S3 is blessed with too much lags...so just stop lying...ok? When it comes to smoothness I can say HTC one will compete to iPhone...s4? Nah ...
44. Deaconclgi (Posts: 328; Member since: 03 Nov 2012)
I can't wait to get iOS7 on my iPad 4. I haven't used the iPad for much beyond Asphalt 8 races since I got my 1020 but iOS7 will cause me to give the iPad a little more attention.

Enjoy your Android clone OS with icons that the Kindergarten class down the street drew...
83. AndroidUserAKAHater (Posts: 2; Member since: 17 Sep 2013)
Haha android clone os ??? You gotta be kidding right? You must not know a thing about iOS then.. And why don't you go with those kindergartners and learn something about os because it seems like they know more about you..
96. pvaraich (Posts: 15; Member since: 30 Apr 2013)
Do you know where Android came from? Derived from the kindergarten os. Lol
121. exodusmodules (Posts: 4; Member since: 17 Sep 2013)
Not true. Android is a good OS also. In fact, I don't prefer one over the other, but I am excited about the iOS 7 update.

I can't wait to see what changes and improvements are on the way with the update to my iPad. I'm still not completely sold on the look but it should grow on me in time I guess.

"...apple annouced totaly new operating system..."

It is hard to understand you, next time to use full words separate letters and so on...
54. Tre-Nitty (Posts: 461; Member since: 16 Nov 2010)

How about multiple touchless features/options(not going to list them all here, bc there are SEVERAL
Videos that pause themselves when you look away from the screen.
Web pages and or emails that won't time out while the phone recognizes that your reading.
Ton's of Camera Shoot Modes, and video shoot modes that only come on the GS4 and will be on the Note 3. Such as the ability to record from both cameras at the same time.(Too many to list all of them)
The ability to multitask on any LTE network not just at&t's in the US.
True HD screen with true HD graphic output...
Or something as simple as a battery that lasts a full day on LTE.
Wow apple put a fingerprint scanner in their phone. News flash they've been around for years. That's how I log into my system at work and have been doing so since 2006... Apple put it in a Phone and you call it innovation?
Apple added all the features to their OS that Android has had since 2008 and you call it innovation?
I'm guessing you just "didn't need all that then?"
Not a Samsung user, just answering your question.
