iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak coming in a couple of weeks

Hacker and iOS expert pod2g published some very interesting pieces of information on his personal blog. As expected, his post has a lot to do with jailbreaking, and in particular, it sheds light on a potential untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.1.1 – the platform's most up-to-date version right now.
To start, an untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.1.x is likely to be released in a couple of weeks. Demand for it appears to be pretty high since most users are not willing to wait until iOS 6.0 is unveiled and subsequently jailbroken. With the exception of the third generation Apple TV, the upcoming untethered jailbreak will be "compatible with any device running iOS 5.1.1", so yay to that! And in case you are wondering what is taking so long for the jailbreak to be released even though the hack has already been demonstrated on the new iPad, it is just that there are 16 different iOS devices to be tested, and testing takes time.
So there you go, folks: if you want to have a jailbroken iPhone or iPad and the most recent iOS version, just be a bit more patient. We will let you know as soon as the untethered iOS 5.1.1 jailbreak is released.

A lot of people jailbreak is because to get 3 party apps and if you have android device you don't have to root the device to get 3rd party apps well depending on the device.
