i-mate launches couple of new PocketPCS

i-mate have announced two new devices under their brandname, operating on Windows Mobile 5 AKU 3.2 for Pocket PC Phones. One of them is the JAQ3, which is the successor of the original JAQ and shares similar design – Pocket PC with landscape display and QWERTY keyboard below it. The quad-band GSM phone has similar features, running on TI OMAP 200MHz processor, but it is much slimmer and adds WiFi.

The other phone is the i-mate PDAL and has same features but in much different design, standard candybar that is typical for a PocketPC. Its display has the same QVGA resolution but is portrait oriented, and its processor is the same – Texas Instruments OMAP running at 200MHz. Other features of the world-capable GSM phones include Bluetooth and 2-megapixel cameras.
